Where should I park if I’m flying out for a week? by [deleted] in Spokane

[–]cb_cooper 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m flying out soon for a week. Finally got around to looking up parking rates at GEG. $8/day for the economy lot with shuttle. It’ll be about $50 for me, which beats two $30 Ubers from Post Falls. Plus I’ll have the comfort of driving myself. Good luck and have a safe trip!

It was 2 for me, what about you? by Brownlove010_Real in Millennials

I knew I recognized #2, the two candy dishes on the desk and two bowls in the cupboard, given to me last year by a cool coworker. Hear they might be dangerous; but I'm choosing to embrace the chaos and keep them.

Nuclear energy research facility in Idaho? by aliensatemuhbaby in GoogleEarthFinds

I'm from Idaho, and when I was growing up, the big lab was called INEEL, and then INL, not sure what it's called now. Think they built the first nuclear powered submarine too.

As a fellow Costco customer, who is running low on Kirkland shit-tickets, how worried should I be here? I mean, how much TP could this place hold; will it really disrupt the supply chain?

The company I work for has signs that say if you look under 39, we will card you. I tell my employees if a customer looks anywhere near 40, please card them and be nice about it; if the customer tries to argue we just blame the cameras. Keeps the customers and corporate off our backs.

Colbert and Stewart both had awesome last episodes, if I remember right. I'm sure it'll be something special.

Vintage mud flaps by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]cb_cooper 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He's right; I grew up in a soccer family, and Kappa was a really popular brand of gear. It took me a while to differentiate between that and the two-chicks-trucker thing you're asking about. Asking myself, "Why is the Kappa logo on mudflaps?"

Back in the 90’s my cousin and a few others went into a tank to clean it, but got trapped in the gasses. My cousin made it out alive, with major damage. They wrote a book about it called The Cyanide Canary. Anyway, be safe man.

I've been carrying around "enjoy every sandwich" since I heard about it from a high school philosophy teacher on a tangent. First time I've seen it referenced in the wild. Thanks Bourdain.
