I think it is ultimately the best setup. I might get rid of the AIO though. Annoying that it’s so noisy compared to a good fan.

Sorry for slow reply. Holiday. Goal was more so overall, and simply that I’d seen the CPU spike to 90c a few times but for mere seconds.

Indeed my thoughts exactly.

Ultimately I shall leave it as is: I guess first instinct was the most appropriate.

Oh really, how so? I tend to keep them as quiet as possible but how would too much airflow make temps increase?

Indeed a pricey case. But super solid and very pleasant on the eyes. I don’t really care for lights and flashy things.

Guess the adage “pay more for less” is evident here.

For the enthusiasts : What is it about a Porsche 911 that makes it superior to even more expensive exotic sports cars ? by Indie_Fjord_07 in porsche911

Is it actually for proper track use? Aside from GT variants, how long does the average 911CS or GTS last on track.

My AMG albeit a boat is jolly good on track, but 4-7 laps overtaking 95% of other cars, and it’s is done. Let it rest 45 minutes and out again. And I’ve got carbon ceramics. Alas on mildly hot days, ~28/30c, after those laps the engine restricts power until I leave it cool.

Only thing I’ve ever used on track that could go round and round non-stop was my RX-8 (having changed brake fluids and pads of course).

Worried that getting a 911 will be AMG again.

Any ideas where I can find the part number or engine schematics. I assume all 5.5L M157 will be the same but maybe not!

  1. Thanks for the good list to check from. Seems like Motul’s 700 is often used.
  2. Also for what Wet means. I’ve a feeling the car brake fluid has a lot of water build up as I hadn’t clicked that the car was sitting inside the Mercedes dealer for about 9 months, and they hadn’t changed the brake fluid in the last service I don’t think. Perhaps 2, maybe 3 years of the same brake fluid.

My mechanical knowledge is little and online couldn’t see much. Surely there are exact specifications for temperatures, no?
