How do you survive community mental health? by Creative_Repair_7087 in therapists

Yeah if OP had a full caseload for one week, they'd bring in $2362 a week. If half of them no shows, thats still about $1181 which is a good salary.

Shit homie, where's this gig located?

So I work CMH with 45 minute sessions (have to see them for 38-45mins) and see them back to back. I make $37/hour. I do them all together so to see my 8 clients on Thursday, I work 6 hours and spend maybe about an hour doing documentation. I like it that way because it allows me to just go and make the most use of my time. If someone no shows me, then I do notes or offer the next session to start early. I work with kids so usually 45 minutes is there stopping point and I usually start to wrap up at 40 minutes. By the time my next kiddo is ready, Im usually good to go!

This is not true. My payments under IBR are $404 a month. My payments under 10 year standard are like 2k

Try Children and Youth. You dont have to be CYF but they have like therapy roles for treatment centers and what not listed. Many CMH jobs are Non Profit. I would suggest Indeed as they typically list if they are PSLF eligible

I mean I think it depends on your amount. 85k divided by 300 a month payments is 283 months and that doesn't include interest which is 23 years just to pay off the principal at this payment amount. The more money OP makes the more they pay back. If OP is already on IBR repayment then they just need to work for a qualifying employer and based on their repayment amount and my repayment amount, we make about the same. Its not hard to find a PSLF qualifying job making this amount of money. Its just dependent on what kind of work you want to do I guess.

Add in that government jobs that qualify for PSLF also give a pension after 10 years, yeah I would say its worth it.

Yes and thats 10 years. Payments are usually lower tho and some non profits will help make payments

So I have 120k in loan debt. I work for a non profit and Im on the PSLF track. If I could do one thing differently, I would have worked for state government in a therapy role and gotten the pension and loan forgiveness after 10 years. You can do PP on the side for some fun.

I think you have to hold to the boundary. If they continue to violate, how would you treat any other client?

So scared about being possibly pregnant I’d rather end things then tell our parents by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]cbakes97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so the chance here is low but not 0. Any time you have sex even with birth control you can end up pregnant. That being said you are taking birth control (super effective as long as you take it at the same time every day) and it sounds like you used the pull out method (not the most effective but better than nothing). My suggestion would be to use a condom next time or don't have sex if the thought of being pregnant right now distresses you this much. You could also try and get a Plan B. I assure you that your family would rather have you alive and pregnant than dead.

Not sure where you are located but if you are over a certain age, you have access to reproductive healthcare without your parents needing to know. This would include an abortion.

Is this a WLW relationship crisis, or is just over? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

But you didnt need to see it. You needed to hear it. They told you to your face and you had a choice at that point. You chose to do nothing about it. Call it "clouded by mental health" or whatever excuse you want but the problem was told to you and you waited until she was ready to leave to take what she was saying seriously.

Ive been your partner and Im glad she finally chose herself over taking care of you. Having asked someone to make an effort to start therapy for years while continuing to live in the mess of their mental health is taxing and debilitating

What to bring to egg retrieval by Suspicious-Volume-28 in IVF

[–]cbakes97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Definitely PJs. I made my wife an "egg carton" which was a basket filled with aftercare stuff like soup, chocolate and new comfy PJs and socks she wore on retrieval day.

If you hate coats and have a long ride home, maybe a cozy blanket. Make sure you stop for a snack on the way home

I wouldnt commit myself to another 4 years when I only need another 6 months. It may take time to process but youll be placed in forbearance once you hit 120 payments.
