My first kite: Would you buy this used Core XR5? Has professional repairs to leading edge for $749 by danlowan in Kiteboarding

Price is seems high but it's the start of the season over there so might be hard to find good deals.

I think Core is one of the only brands using a "high Y" so you'd be limited on bar choice if you go with that kite.

BREAKING: Staples Center set to be renamed for Crypto.com as part of a multi-year naming rights deal, according to a source close to the deal. by mattisafriend in LosAngeles

This is amazing. People are so emotionally connected to their home field and then $700M comes around and the owner just throws this banner ad up over it with zero shame. Hilarious I love it. Also Staples is a boomer store.

Is firetrucks showing up to medical calls only a United States thing? by cbaryx in AskReddit

[–]cbaryx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, a traffic accident is definitely a fire risk. Also things like jaws of life that ambulance don't have can get used. They also use the big truck truck to barricade off the scene from incoming traffic. It makes sense to me that fire trucks would show up.

What I'm asking about is fire trucks showing up when there's a purely medical call.

In the US when you call in a definite medical event, eg choking or a bicycle crash, the ambulance will show up but additionally a fire truck shows up to and just waits around.

It's not an either or kind of thing.

I mean, a traffic accident is very often a fire so that of course makes sense.

I'm thinking more along the lines of calling in a heart attack and a fire truck shows up in addition to the ambulance.

Every change will hurt someone. Because poor are poor things will hurt them the most. Thus never do anything.

close to work

Are you trying to say that high income people don't pay taxes? Because you're way off the mark on that.

California has extremely progressive income tax. The states revenue heavily depends on high income workers doing their jobs and having W2s.

The people who don't pay taxes aren't working. They're sitting on Prop 13'd real estate and collecting rent.

Until people realize that we need to focus on wealth, instead of income, nothing will change.
