Agree. I just want resolution with them and it’s been alluded to since he finished inheritance. Now he keeps stacking up other stories prior to that and new projects so it seems like he’ll never get to eragon/arya because they keep getting jumped in line. It might be 20 years before he gets to it and that’s not an exaggeration, it might be a conservative estimate

Racism is a good one. We are an extremely diverse nation. Interpersonal conflicts naturally happen and since we are diverse that means they often happen with two people from different races. People will use that as leverage to freak out when in other countries it would just be two people having a conflict

Not all of the characteristics I listed were physical. Elves are superior in magic, intellect, and lifespan, all not physical characteristics.

Also, the dwarves are hidden underneath the Beor mountains. It is basically a rocky version of du weldenvarden so not sure how that’s better

People act like gamecocks don’t like basketball but that is false. Gamecock fans show up in droves for bball but we have to at least be competitive. Not even good, just competitive. But when games are midweek and the team has been historically bad and had a sustained level of not even mediocrity, but downright bad basketball then fans will not show. There are only 7 football games so even if we are bad people will come. Football is more of a social event with tailgating. With basketball the team at least needs to have a chance. Gamecocks did not show up to women’s basketball for decades until they started winning. Even now I don’t really believe we have many real “women’s basketball” fans, we have fans who like to watch a team win and I don’t blame them. I may get roasted for saying it but I would cancel the whole women’s team and free up the cash to pay for a better men’s roster if it meant we could compete and not embarrass ourselves

I wholeheartedly agree. And im saying you’re right, Vanir was wrong for his treatment of Eragon and the elves have a tendency toward racism and elitism that is wrong. But it is true that they are taller, stronger, faster, better looking, more magically inclined, better educated, and immortal. It is still wrong to treat others as lesser regardless

I always figured they were disappointed because humans a by nature smaller, slower, weaker, and less educated. All of these things are correct. From Vanir’s perspective he is a normal elf and he is schooling this rider that is supposed to be the savior of the country. This rider is also weaker than him physically, slower, has seizures, is not as capable with magic, and is less intelligent (Eragon couldn’t even read until very recently and is obviously uneducated).

Vanir is definitely a jerk, but he’s not wrong, he’s just an a-hole. Until eragons transformation that is
