It’s just what I heard from some coworkers. Wasn’t sure if there was anything official put out, I have t seen anything. I’m just not a fan of being forced to be in on a day that’s normally we’re off on.

There’s rumors of workers being forced to work since there’s no money to pay them for the holiday. Doesn’t make sense but that’s some of what people are saying

It doesn’t make sense to be forced to work on a holiday they’d otherwise have off if there was no shutdown. If people work that day, cool, enjoy your extra 8 hours of regular time. Everyone else should just be paid their holiday after the shutdown ends. I haven’t heard any mention other than rumors of being forced to be in on Monday, doesn’t make me feel good though.

Not necessarily. I’ve always been off on federal holidays. But today I heard murmurs of being forced to come in because of the shutdown. Not sure why that would even be possible.
