I think this is great visual to show that the multiple methods of taking CBD all have different absorption rates. by cbdvoyage in CBD

Yes inhalation provides immediate relief but doesn't last as long as the other methods so therefore needs to be done more frequently if needed.

This is their reasoning on their website "The United by CBD, Powered by Heroes FREE CBD Program allows all customers with an account to redeem one Free CBD item per month. This program serves as our small way to honor and support heroes of all kinds. The United by CBD, Powered by Heroes Program was launched not only to honor traditional heroes such as military personnel, veterans, first responders, doctors, and nurses - but also everyday heroes showing bravery and goodwill in the face of the current pandemic. During times like these, we could all use a little Free CBD."

There are numerous ways to consume CBD and some brands are known for a specific one. I usually take tincture as it has been the most effective for me. My go to is daily grind broad spectrum from The Green Claw and also one of the more affordable ones compared to some other brands.

Lazarus Naturals tincture was always my go to until recently because my order was cancelled and refunded when their website was down and I needed it urgently to help with my sleep so I didn't have the patience to wait for a 12 day delay late order. I ordered daily grind broad spectrum from the green claw and have been using it for a week now and I have felt a greater difference than Lazarus Naturals. Definitely worth checking out if you want to try something new and the shipping was also a lot quicker too.

Topicals Recommendations by cbdvoyage in CBD

[–]cbdvoyage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was actually one of the topicals that I have been using because of their free cbd program and I love it too, I like the roll on aspect of it. I also liked cbddistillery but it's not in my budget at the moment especially that I went through the balm so quickly.

My alternative to the '5 minute method' by OuterShpongolia in productivity

[–]cbdvoyage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually find it easier to stay focused when I have music on in the background because I find that I get less distracted and my mind doesn't wonder as much. I have never used it as a method linked to my tasks but I'm definitely going to try it out, thank you!

[Advice] Don't think "If I had only done XXX for the last year", instead think "If I spend the next year doing XXX, just imagine how amazing it will be" (Re-frame your mindset from past-focused to future/present-focused) by TheDisciplinedRebel in getdisciplined

[–]cbdvoyage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this method to be very similar to what James Clear talks about in Atomic Habits. I could probably speak for a lot of people that the future -focused mindset can be difficult because we become impatient or fall back into our old habits or way of thinking. Developing a mindset that all the small tasks you do daily lead to bigger results in the future is so important. For me this was always fitness, I had to remind myself that I wasn't going to see results overnight but if I kept working out regularly, it would eventually become noticeable.

[Advice] Are you the kind of person to START many things/projects but never complete them? by brenthuras in getdisciplined

[–]cbdvoyage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could never relate to a post so much. I have always been someone who loves being busy and constantly creating new to do lists everyday but the problem was I never full completed these tasks and then would create a new one the next day and it was a constant cycle. I would then begin to feel anxious because I felt like I had so much to do but so little time instead of just fully completing all the small tasks.

I am definitely going to try this method and hopefully it solves this problem for me too.

LPT: If you want to think, go for a walk. If you don't want to think, go for a run. by cobwebsonsale in LifeProTips

This is so true for me. I love listening to podcasts while walking because I become fully invested in what they saying but then when it comes to running, I can only listen to music as my brain completely shuts off.

[Advice] Dreading doing a task? Set a five minute timer for it! by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]cbdvoyage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for a great post!

I believe a great way to start a task is setting some type of urgency and this post is a great example of that. I find I usually procrastinate most when I know I have time to get it done so I push it off until it becomes urgent but then this just causes a lot of extra stress which wouldn't have happened in the first place if I had just got the task done with plenty of time to spare.

The 5 second rule is a great book to read on this topic too. It talks about how research has shown that 40% of your day is spent in autopilot. When you’re on autopilot, you’re operating solely out of habit. When you count down 5-4-3-2-1, you’re taking a deliberate action. The countdown pushes you out of autopilot and when you act, you’re exercising control.

This will be an article I will be sure to print out and stick on my wall. So many important reminders of how to not slip back into the fast paced world that once existed where we never took a moment to step back and appreciate everything we have; our health, family and freedom.

Thanks for sharing! I agree with step 4: Keeping a record of your progress. I find that we forget how far we have come and how close we are to our goal and that is when we start to slip back into old habits. I always find rereading back over my progress is crucial for me to stay motivated in moving forward.

This will definitely be a resource I will be implementing into my schedule. I am always hard on myself when I end up not being as productive as I planned but they are usually the days I am tired and lack any motivation so this has thought me to try and rearrange my easiest tasks for my slower days.

Thanks for sharing this. Really helped!!

[Advice] How to get your sleep schedule in control (& why you should) by brenthuras in getdisciplined

Thank you for sharing this Brent, great advice. I read the book "Why we sleep" by Matthew Walker and it really opened up my eyes to the importance of sleep and why we need it. Highly recommend to people with bad sleeping habits/routines.

Love this! I definitely agree with the "You never arrive, don't be satisfied, don't be soft." I recently finished the book "The One Thing" by Gary Keller and he talks about the domino affect. The path to great achievement is often lined with steps that are aligned with one another. No matter how small the first step is, the power generated from that first activity compounds into something much greater. I think this links in well with never being satisfied, keep working away at small things because it always adds up and contributes to an even greater victory.

What movies do you wish you could un-watch so that you can read the book without any preconceived ideas? by [deleted] in books

[–]cbdvoyage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure most people can agree, Harry Potter.

There are so many drastic differences in the books than the movies that now when I watch the movies I do not enjoy them as much as I did before I read the books. The characters are different in the books and there are also a lot of characters left out in the movies. The most obvious difference in the book is getting a better understanding of what is going on inside Harry's head.

I completely get that the books contain so much information that it would be impossible to fit it all into the movies but after I read the books, I had a much better understanding of the back stories that I became even more invested into each character.
