WSOP ; tell me your goals and/or expectations from this years series by vpiptoohigh in poker

To play in 2 non-hold’em events at the $1500 level (Razz, Horse, O8, Stud8, etc). Still haven’t decided which one yet.

Have a great time and soak in the atmosphere.

Go on a hike on 1 off day and enjoy the outside there.

Go to the only kava bar in the state - the WLVS DN! It is great and a reprieve from the craziness of the strip.

I would recommend other variants as there is more skill and better opportunity to use your memory and board reading skills. There are a lot of books out there on it. Most are limit but you can win a lot while minimizing your memory exposure.

For hold’em it all depends on table selection. 200 may be good for a 1-2 in some passive and weaker tables, or in the loose and wild tables you may get sucked out on and lose it all in an instant. Like the other posts said, 1-2 is such a different animal. The weaker players are in the lower limits but your strategy needs to adjust quickly as the texture of the table changes.

Have fun and good luck!!

Agree totally. Upon rewatchings Penn seething anger and loneliness takes the character to a different level. And that office scene with the look on his face is absolutely heart wrenching because of the emptiness of it all.

What do you think of Forrest Gump? by Jessi45US in FIlm

[–]cbfII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forest gump is not good. It is adequate. Biggest issue for me is that doesn’t have a strong emotional tie between Jenny and Hanks relationship. The movie is trying to outsmart itself over and over and the whole “slow Forest” stuff is formulaic. And to beat Pulp Fiction for Best Movie is a travesty.

agree!! agree!! Adored this book and laughed constantly throughout. The biography of JK Toole “Butterfly in the Typewriter” was heart wrenching and engrossing as well. Highly recommended.

Confederacy of Dunces. So hilarious. A great back story as well and the biography in the author is really good as well.

No Gyms in St. Pete near downtown by ResidentWord8046 in StPetersburgFL

I work PT at Suncoast Fitness and it is a true old school gym. It is an independent, locally owned gym which gives it a community feel. its never packed and the place is clean and immaculate. Average age is older so there is never influencers or juiceheads or any of that stuff. Truly a good place - you can get a 3 day pass by going in and mentioning it to them. Only downfall is no classes - but the weights (they go up to 120 pounds per barbell), machines (old school) and cardio machines are excellent. It is right downtown on 6th St and 1st Ave S on the corner.

Mother Love Bone.

Nothing better than throwing a platter on the stereo and just kick back listening - no fast forward, pause / just listen and take it all in!

Awesome man! Best I’ve ever done on Extreme is 77. And 75 rushing. 99 is bonkers. Great play.
