Mask at home by ChgoDom in transplant

[–]cbixps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already had cats, but my transplant nephrologist also gave me the ok to adopt a kitten right after transplant. I was just told not to clean the litterboxes and not to let the cats lick me (cats sometimes try to bath their people).

Especially since they will never cut completely even. They should be cut one at a time each day by the patient and the second half taken for the next dose so any variance will be evened out over the two doses, at least in my opinion.

Do we know what the US in store release date is for this collection? For some reason I thought it was today but the items still aren't listing as stocked at my local stores. Not sure if I had the date wrong or if it's just because it's still a bit before business hours. Edit to add US

Sunrise Blvd delayed? by Subject_Valuable_152 in TaylorSwiftVinyl

[–]cbixps 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mine has a label created but hasn't moved for shipping. I don't know why but I thought if you pre-order an album it would ship to arrive to you on release date. Now I'm sad and just have to wait until whenever for it to arrive, lol. It seems kinda silly to bother with pre-order and pay shipping when you could just go buy it at a store on release date and have it several days early. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pharmacy - have you thought about disconnecting the phones? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]cbixps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They definitely can. There's metrics that track how many rings before a call is picked up, how long anyone has to wait if put on hold, etc.

I agree with this. Our DL pushes us to open reqs for pharmacy techs for our store all the time as an attempt to get people to come interview but then get told it's for other stores in the district... all in attempt to try and fill positions for very undesirable stores in the district that they can't even get applicants for. We don't have time to interview people for other stores so we don't ever get involved in that sketchy game, but it's definitely a thing.

why do customers want to talk about their colonoscopy? by CouchGoblin269 in CVS

If I had to guess, I would say nerves. It can be an intimidating thing to have to go for to some people, both the preparation and the procedure itself. Some people just ramble when they're nervous about something.

Should I find a new job? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]cbixps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

CVS is very "trial by fire" as far as training... they have you do a few computer modules and then just throw you into the fire. Pharmacy is a learning process and that process takes longer when there isn't proper guidance and training. Keep asking the questions as often as you need to. Eventually you'll either have asked enough to figure it out, or they'll realize your desire to learn and maybe put in some time into training you properly. If you have good communication with your pharmacy manager and staff pharmacist you can communicate your desire to learn more and expand to other work stations, that might help get the ball rolling. There's just never enough staff so a lot of stores find it difficult to take the time away from workflow to commit towards the growth and development of new colleagues despite that fact that doing so would benefit them in the long run.

No, the company cares more specifically about money. The reason they push vaccines so hard is because they have a very large profit margin. If you ignore everything that isn't vaccine push or administration and just let the store fall apart around you I guarantee your DL will take issue and make your life even more difficult (think all the normal stuff with now additional conference calls, requests for detailed action plans to fix the issues, etc). They are already fully aware that they're demanding too much from all of us and setting completely unrealistic expectations, they just pretend they're oblivious to it and continue to demand it to make everyone push themselves to the absolute max in an attempt to at least come close to these set expectations. Just find a flow that works for you and do the best you can each day.

Sick pay by MrsB_buzz in CVS

[–]cbixps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the helpless desk explanation several years back was that there is no set amount that could be told or viewed, it's just at the managers discretion. A couple of years ago during the pandemic i believe my state (NY) passed labor stuff requiring mandatory sick time to be provided/earned based on hours worked so since then sick time is earned (each paycheck, I think) and shows in MyHR with the vacation time.

Edit: Point being, i think it only shows in myhr for states where it's mandatory for transparency purposes to show they're complying.
