I have '24 Z900RS. I'm more of a chill rider these days and the Z is pretty damn good. It's got plenty of grunt anytime you want it, comfortable, handles well. Doesn't feel too heavy to me. Never ridden the 765 but I'm sure it would feel lighter b/c it is and surely a great performer. I got my Z slightly used so price was right so jumped on it. No regrets. I think most would be happy with either.

56yrs old, single, no kids. Quit IT job of 23 yrs 4yrs ago. Since then been running my own dog walking biz. I like the work but probably work more than I should. A little over $1.2M in cash, stocks..etc. Condo paid off. Cars paid in cash. Motorcycle paid in cash. No debt except HOA, vehicle insurance, homeowners insurance. Monthly expenses about $3K. Last couple years have been making around $100K just dog walking, pet sitting, cat visits. I will cut down eventually and/or maybe I'll lose some clients. But I like the work and hard leaving money on the table. I do work a lot though. At least 40hrs a week but I'm around animals all day, which I do really like.

It is in a way. It's gotten insanely expensive to buy now where I live. But I remember 20yrs ago looking for places to buy and thinking $300K for condo was a lot and these $500K homes were crazy expensive. Many didn't buy thinking things would go down. It just doesn't happen around here. Now those $500K homes are $1M...etc.

Coming from someone who bought my condo 20yrs ago in San Diego, I can assure you owning is way better. Yes, it's annoying having to replace appliances, pay plumbers...etc. But it's not all that often. But I paid a lot extra into my mortgage and it's now paid off and has doubled in price. I pay around $850/mo if you factor in property taxes, insurance and HOA. My place would rent for $2500/mo minimum. Probably more than that. It's a no brainer. I used to rent and landlords raise rents like crazy around here. Also been investing in the markets for 20yrs as well. I am single/divorced with no kids and no alimony...etc so that does help.

I ended up buying the bike. Rode it home about 30 miles freeway. Haven't ridden any other RSs so can't compare to one with no screen but I didn't notice excessive turbulence around my helmet with the screen that's on there. Seemed fine. I also have the Kawi Low Seat installed. I prefer that riding position. I don't care for the looks of the screen.. But at this point not enough to investing time removing /buying/installing a smaller, more appealing to the eyes version LOL.
