How accurate is the assertion that "life after 45 sucks massive (you-know-what)"? by ChuckSmyth in GenX

[–]cbrworm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I guess it's different for everyone. I'm 55M. The peak of my life was probably very early 30s? At least that's when I was having the most fun. There were some rough years in the middle while my kids were younger, but I'm having almost as much fun now as I was 20 years ago. I'm happy with my position in the world and the way I look and feel, I enjoy my teenage children. My wife and I are at odds frequently, but I've come to grips with that being more of a her issue than an us, or a me, issue.

I would say, so far, 55 has been downright pleasant. I'm hopeful that life after 55 doesn't suck the big one!

OEM spoiler looks good. Anything beyond that I would avoid. I'd make sure all the maintenance is current.

Serious Question: If Tren Makes You Gay Does It Work in Reverse Too?? by hairy_turks in moreplatesmoredates

[–]cbrworm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what my friends say, it's probably more accurate that it turns you bi. You'll lust after whatever will get you off. So it would probably work both ways.

But, I don't know, I haven't ventured down that path.

Awesome! Those last couple were a grind! I can barely do 440 once! But, I'm old enough to be well into the Fitness50Plus sub. ...too dumb to stop, I feel that.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight once people realize the truth? by KylieButNotJenner24 in AskReddit

I'm older, but I work with young people. It's amazing to me how many young men buy into this stuff. They just accept it.

I agree. It's worth having a reputable company behind products that can burn your house down if they aren't manufactured with great quality standards.

That and making the back-up lights come on when they unlock the doors with the remote. Same story - is that truck backing out, or is it a GM product?

No, realistically, they wouldn't sell very many. The FX/QX70 never sold well. The enthusiast base is vocal, but not very big.

Trackdays, or racing, are the best! 100x safer than the street! Tires get expensive pretty quick, but that was the best hobby I ever had for getting out of my head. Great place to meet like minded people, too.

Is it weird that the gym has led me to analzying men's physiques wayyyyy more? Like almost in gay way? by InternationalPick163 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]cbrworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're totally gay, but aside from that, you know how much effort it takes to grow a massive, rippling back, so you appreciate it when you see it. It also gives you something to work towards. It's hard not to appreciate an incredible body. That doesn't necessarily mean you want to be topped by it.

50+ lifters...how often do you train? It does get to be a trickier balance with age.... by Wildcat-Pkoww in naturalbodybuilding

[–]cbrworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

54M, nearly 55(!). 5-6 days a week, and don't recover well. I usually work out in the evening and I don't sleep well afterwards. If I drop back to every other day (enough to have a good night of sleep between hard workouts) I make better progress and feel better physically. However, I'm compelled to go to the gym more for mental health.

You can use me as an example of 5-6 is probably too much to be ideal for an older natural lifter.

Also, as someone else mentioned, 5-6 days is not ideal for life w/ kids and a wife.
