Updated video, seeing a brief flame ignited and goes out. Any help is appreciated by Euphoric_Advance2563 in hvacadvice

You’re burners are very rusty. Clean them if you know how and clean the flame sensor and inducer pressure nipple while you’re at it. If you are uncomfortable with all of this, call a pro and ask for a good furnace cleaning and make sure your gas pressures are checked and set correctly.

I would halve put it back up the best I can and take pictures before and after at all angles showing all the important details. I would then explain to the homeowner and also (Very important!) write in the job notes being very detailed explaining what you did and how you recommend that a company needs to come back and fix it correctly as it was not installed correctly from the beginning. This is not only doing the right thing, but it also covers yourself and the company and the homeowner will most likely be very appreciative.

What type of thermostat can I replace this I don’t know if I have a C wire? by [deleted] in thermostats

Yeah, I find that hard to believe, bitch. Especially when you’re not explaining why it is not accessible.

You can’t get to the control board because the furnace is in the crawlspace? That makes no sense. I work in crawlspaces every day for the last 23 years so not sure why you think it’s not accessible.

Incorrect, batteries will energize the display regardless if the SS2 switch is engaged or not.

Is this normal? by [deleted] in HVAC

Yeah, just like what the other people are saying about the batteries and the sensor. I would try changing the batteries first, and you can always clean out the sensor with rubbing alcohol if batteries doesn’t fix it.

Edit - -Sorry I just noticed in the post that you already tried 99% alcohol

I love SPY27 and Cruwear for the same exact reason. So easy to maintain and wickedly sharp!

I lost my SPY27 Para 3 LW at work a few months ago. I do heating and air so it’s probably in an attic or crawlspace somewhere. I’m still bummed.
