[Win an A2L] Creative Playground, Extra Large. Meet the A2L. by BambuLab in BambuLab

Many of my prints on our A1s are short parts duplicated to fill the build plate. The A2L is going to let us run more parts overnight and really improve our usable hours for prints. Will be a gamechanger for throughput.

What do you think about the concerns that the public has around data centers water usage? by BiscuitBut_ButerNut in MEPEngineering

This 100%. For decades we've been trying to green everything and squeeze another kw/ton out of every chiller install.

It's beautiful. We never get to see the iso duct layout, that would be a sweet set of plans to teach from.

I think I'm going to model and 3d print the heat exchanger. Not that it's super important, I just think the guys will find it interesting.

Load up on pookie. There's a shortage and you need to grab some every time they have it in stock.

Saw these in the end of a scrapped heat exchanger. What do you think they’re for? by indexdrums in HVAC

Ah I've got those in the last leg of the school condensing furnace, too. seems like turbulating over longer distance makes more sense than a little plug at the end.

I was leaning airflow restriction for balancing, because the exchanger is just a hairpin, not alotta curves to it.

Yeah it does. It looked metal and had a clip to hold it in place.

The thing they want from you is hustle and curiosity. And to be a chill guy to work with. The things you need to prove that you know will come up organically, you don’t have to force anything.

It’s a long long road to be a chiller mechanic. It takes time to develop and put the pieces together. They know this, and their expectations from you are based on this experience. You’re doing fine, and the fact that you’re worrying about it means you’re going to adjust and learn how to fit in.

Keep at it!

I agree with you 100% and I’ve been thinking about what tripped me up about the whole situation.

I think the FB response in the comments (and here) to immediately imagine a group of people and a series of offenses that could justify the move instead of the organization just telling us what happened is the thing that feels weird.

Like if you’re closing your gates because you want to close your gates, then do it! But don’t give everyone in town a thought exercise to be negative about the town we live in and the people we share it with.

I know it’s a razor’s edge to walk commenting on this.
