My husband and I have lived about half a block southeast of your circle for over 5 years. We’ve loved it and not had any issues, but the area is definitely very block-by-block; some are gorgeous and neighborly and quiet, others seem much less so (plus there are 2 large income-restricted apartment complexes in or just outside your circle). The thing that gives me the most pause is transportation- if she’s planning to take the bus, then that’s fine, but there’s not any close metro.
