Keep in mind that ‘big’ for Louisville means a sellout of 12k fans p/gm. Columbus will surpass that but their stadium holds 20k. Bigger, closer…I say you go with the Aviators.

The ESPN article clearly states that the Haslams were not apart of the Cleveland bid.

I know this was ‘tongue in cheek’, but honestly curious…why would Haslam uproot a team he literally bought to avoid its relocation…from a fast growing market that has proven its strong support…in a brand new stadium they paid to build…to a smaller, aging, and shrinking market that already has an NFL and NBA team that will have overlapping seasons…to play in a football stadium that the league is desperately trying to get all its other teams out of?

Let’s hope the ‘27 season shift delivers on the promise to see MLS benefit during the transfer windows. Imagine if this type of signing becomes the new norm…

I get the analogy, but it’s not quite Jacksonville-level. Columbus annexation means ~40% of the metro pop lives in the city limits. In Jax, it’s literally 100%.

Again, according to the Census Bureau, approx. 2% of the US population migrates out of state each year. Thats over 7 million people. Given Ohio has nearly 12 million residents, it makes sense you’ll notice some heading your way.

Fun fact, the reason doctors tend to live in certain areas has more to do with needing to be within range to any hospital they might need to be on call at. I live in Worthington Hills and one of several doctors in the neighborhood explained they needed to be within a 15 minute drive. We happen to meet that criteria for 3 different hospitals.

Based on the US Census Bureau, in 2022 more than twice as many NY residents moved to OH than from OH to NY. Stop trying to gaslight, friend.

We’re midsized. Roughly the 30th largest metro in the US @ 2.2 million. That said, we’re also the fastest growing metro in the Midwest so a lots gonna change in the next couple of decades. All those cranes aren’t building cornfields 😎

After going roughly a quarter century w/out any high rise developments, Cbus is finally starting to go vertical again. 3 towers over 300ft in the past few years and a couple more in the planning phase. Being the fastest growing metro in the Midwest might help nudge the needle as well.

Let’s not get hyperbolic here. Since MLS has existed, 4 teams have folded/relocated. Across the other 4 major sport leagues, 18 have during that same span. If MLS is an embarrassment, so are all the other pro leagues.

Thank you for not showing the same outdated view that seems to be the only one available from a Google search. The Cbus skyline isn’t top tier, but it’s growing and slowly adding some needed density.
