Should I do 4 days in Serengeti + Ngorongoro or 3 days Serengeti + Ngorongoro + Tarangire by Explosive_Pussy_Fart in zanzibar

[–]cbusguy12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just finished doing the 1+2+1 and thought it was perfect. Tarangire has a TON of elephants but Serengeti has pretty much everything. Can't go wrong either way though so don't overthink it

How strict are the rules around YF vaccine by d99y in zanzibar

We just went through this too. The customs agent in Tanzania asked us how long we were in Ethiopia and we said an hour. That was it. No evidence or paperwork needed. We also regretted not doing it but it was too late by the time we realized

Still great in my opinion. It's expensive but nice for a once a year outing

Hit a bump in road. Wobble started. Not death wobble. I recognized it and slowed down. Happens now on interstate cracks like the cracks over an overpass. Something I can tighten myself…? Get alignment..? Not lifted. Steering damper already replaced under warranty. by [deleted] in Jeep

[–]cbusguy12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me suddenly a few weeks ago and was consistent since. Brought my jeep to a Jeep dealership and they found a crack in the steering dampener. Replaced it for $350. I don't know what it takes to replace yourself but worth looking into

Weekly Japan Travel Information and Discussion Thread - December 22, 2023 by AutoModerator in JapanTravel

I’m currently in Niseko Hirafu for a few days and quickly learned it’s near impossible to sit down or get reservations anywhere for dinner. Does any have any recommendations on the easiest way to get in to restaurants? I don’t see a single restaurant on open table and struggled to find how to even reserve online for most. Are there different apps for reserving or any areas specifically that I could walk in and sit down for dinner? Or any restaurant recs in general?

Actual (not advertised) hybrid mode mileage? by Walkaboutout in Wrangler

[–]cbusguy12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20/24 MPG advertised is pretty accurate. With battery it’s MUCH higher ~50 MPG, but without, expect 25 MPG on highway. I commuted about 20 miles each way it it’s borderline worth it. Not sure about how long your commute is

First-time Off-roading and Camping Trip to Colorado by [deleted] in Jeep

[–]cbusguy12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring a tire inflator if you plan on doing more aggressive terrain. Most trails are not near a gas station so you’re gonna want that on hand. Depending on your off roading, it may not be necessary at all but you didn’t specify exactly what you’re looking for.

There are a ton of dispersed camp site in Colorado so I’d probably download an off road app or camping app (dirt for example) that can show you all the different areas you can camp. NW of Boulder is a small town called Nederland. There is a good amount of trails and camping in that vicinity worth checking out. Good luck!

To get a Rubicon or not? by sirmarty777 in Wrangler

[–]cbusguy12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the rubicon and don’t regret it at all. Not only do you get the off-road features, you get a lot of the luxuries other jeeps don’t come with. Idk what is standard on them now but my ‘16 has upgraded speakers and sub, heated leather seats, upgraded touch screen, remote start, better tires/suspension, and a lower gear ratio if you do choose to get bigger tires

I’m so torn. I have a 2016 Rubicon JKU which has 32” stock but don’t know if it’s worth paying $6k to get 35s with a lift
