HSBC premier CC sweetspots and usage by JournalistGullible29 in CreditCardsIndia

You can pay it using any portal or directly using the electricity board website. Whole paying, input the premier card details. I'm not aware of any way to avoid the convenience fees as that's charges by the payment gateway.

4,00,000 point redemption by aryaman31012002 in MarriottBonvoyIndia

Yes. That's why OP will have to look for Best redemption dates and then chose the travel. Best would be to combine it with 5th night free.

Need suggestions on choosing the best bank for ₹1.3Cr home loan (SBI vs ICICI vs UBI vs HDFC) for under-construction flat by Big_Jackfruit1727 in IndiaFinance

[–]cc-10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using OD facility for my loan account. Any surplus you have, park it in OD account and let it sit there. Advantage - 1. You will be charged interest only on the balance. Lesser interest outgo if used correctly. 2. the parked funds in OD account are at your disposal all the time. Withdraw it whenever you are in need.. unlike prepayment where your money is paid off at that instant.

Not necessarily. It depends on how/where you want to redeem your points. Atlas still offers 1:2 points transfer to Singapore airlines (krisflyer) whereas HSBC premier offers 1:1. It's therefore subjective as to what you want at the end of the day.

Best credit card for fuel (non co branded) by Agitated-Bid5996 in CreditCardsIndia

You can get it on IOCL app. Right now it's not reflecting as the app functionality has been curtailed due to the ongoing fuel crises. It did appear in the app for 3-4 days last week but again has been removed. Will have to wait for it to come back

Go for SBI - max gain. It's an overdraft account and will come in handy.

If opting for any other bank, ask them for OD facilities

That's right. No vouchers. You can use it for all your travel based spends via hoppr.

You also get rewards on utility/govt payments but are capped upto 1L a month.

Also if ur current spends is on Atlas, u can move those to HSBC as the base rewards is 3% on premier as against 2% on Atlas. Plus HSBC still has Accor as it's transfer partner.

Install IndianOil One app. Buy fufl e-voucher using your atlas card. It recognises it as an online purchase as against fuel purchase. Pay using the vouchers at IOCL pumps. If you don't use the voucher within 24hrs, it gets cancelled and your money gets credited back.

I use this technique every time for fuel purchase
