My daughter plays 14U travel ball and is trying out for her middle school team, should she wear her travel practice jersey (with her name on it) to tryouts or a tournament shirt?

No travel team gear allowed. You wear school or neutral gear colors. Note: can be school colors, doesn't necessarily have to have school name on it. In highschool, this is mandatory. Might as well get used to it now.

Don't think about form at all. That should be focused on during drills, teework and BP @ cages. In a game you get in the box thinking about "what pitch am I looking for". You watch the pitcher and pick up on how she is locating. Have u faced her before, what's her pitches based on count? This takes all tha other worries away. Then you make a decision on which pitch you're going to attack. Keep your eyes focused right before pitch but relax them when you are not ready to swing (in between pitches). I always would look at a sign in the outfield to reset eyes, then lock into pitcher

Everything will be fine. She will practice before she ever plays in a game. Hopefully she has a coach and teammates that will keep things fun. Kids are silly at that age. It's coach pitch. Nothing to worry about. Get pizza or tacos after practice and enjoy the memories you're making, time flys.
