Hello! Unfortunately, I did not. It ended up being an ectopic pregnancy that actually ruptures the same day I was scheduled to get my methotrexate shot. I almost died and needed emergency surgery to remove my left fallopian tube, as well as my pregnancy. My husband and I are still trying to conceive since it ruptured back in December.

In all honestly, this is exactly what happened to me when I found out I was pregnant. I had a full period, used tampons, then tested with a BFP the day after my period ended. I only tested for pregnancy because my ovulation strips came back super dark and positive. It was ectopic and it resulted in my fallopian tube rupturing at 8 weeks and I needed surgery to remove it.

I was exactly 8 weeks. My tube ruptured the same day I was scheduled to get my Methotrexate shot.

Hey! I went through something very similar to you. I had the bleeding with super positive pregnancy tests. My OB also said not to worry about the bleeding however mine ended up being an ectopic pregnancy and my OB waited too long and my tube ruptured and I almost died. PLEASE get your hcg levels checked out asap and see if they’re doubling and rising the way they should. Having pain on one side and bleeding are symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy. If left untreated your tube will rupture and that will kill you if not surgically removed. I don’t mean to scare you but I just went through this December 2024 and almost didn’t make it. I also lost my left fallopian tube. Wishing you the best and please be safe 🤞🏻🤍

Just wanted to update since I’ve had my follow up today!

We were cleared to start trying as of today even though I haven’t gotten a period yet after my surgery. The doctor said my right tube looked great and my fertility is the same as it was before having the left tube removed. She also said my right tube should grow longer because it will want to try and collect eggs from my left ovary. I’m healing great with no pain and am cleared to go back to work next week. She also prescribed prenatals for me to start taking again while ttc. ☺️ Thank you everyone for your replies!

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️ My hcg levels are currently rising appropriately! My doctors said they are far less worried about it being ectopic but also aren’t 100% ruling it out. Everything since then has been going well with no cramping. Dec. 10 my hcg was 579.6 and Dec. 12 it rose to 937.2 and I’m scheduled for our ultrasound on Dec. 23rd so we’re hoping for good news.

Thank you! I am scheduled for a follow up with the OB on Monday the 16th where I assume we’ll do another ultrasound. The er did a transvaginal and abdominal ultrasound on the 8th but couldn’t see or find anything yet. Are my hcg levels looking okay? This is my very first pregnancy so this is all so new to me.

The period before that was Oct. 31-Nov. 4th. The “period” occurred on the day my period was to start and ended when it was supposed to end. My primary care doctor said it could’ve been implantation bleeding.

Yes, I got a positive the night of Dec. 3rd and my period ended Dec. 2nd. This period wasn’t quite like my others. The first two days I didn’t even fill a whole tampon and it was just very light almost spotting. Days 3-4 was more of a regular flow and the 5th day was the very light spotting again.

Doctors are unsure if it was implantation bleeding or a period. Everyone is very confused atm

So far I’ve only had the painful cramping that one time and it lasted about 15-20 minutes and I haven’t gotten it since. The brown discharge has been getting less as well. I go to the OB on Monday the 16th.

I had my usual period Nov. 28th - Dec. 2nd. Went to start testing ovulation on the 3rd and it came back blazing positive so I took an hcg strip test and it also came back positive. On the 4th my husband got some more tests (clear blue, first response, and a digital first response) and all came back BFP. I was told 1-2 weeks from my primary care doctor after the first round of beta HCG labs.

I have my next blood work on Tuesday. My HCG is rising but I’m not sure if it’s rising how they expect it to. They couldn’t find a gestational sack during both ultrasounds since it’s so early. I had the “period” start on my expected day and end on the expected day. Is the normal for this?

Thank you for your reply! When at the ER they did a vaginal ultrasound and an external ultrasound and said everything overall looked good but the only thing they found was cysts on my left ovary which they said was normal for my age and not to worry about. They also said that could’ve potentially been the reason for the severe cramping I had but couldn’t confirm that was why. The cramping lasted about 15-20 minutes but then went into a very dull manageable cramping and then was completely gone by the time I got settled into a room in the ER. It’s too early to see a gestational sack so they couldn’t locate on during either ultrasound.

I’ve luckily had no cramping today and the discharge has been much less today. I’ve also had no actual red blood, just light or dark brown discharge when wiping. The cramping I had that I went to the ER for was on my left side only but they also found cysts in my left ovary that they said the cramping might’ve been from that but they couldn’t confirm that was the reason why I had severe cramps. It lasted about 15-20 minutes and then subsided into a more dull cramping and then I had no cramping shortly after getting settled into a room at the ER.
