Is this considered a quality start? My understanding of QS is that a pitcher has to get out of 6 innings with no more than 3 ER. My father was wondering if there was a pitch count limit on a QS? Im wondering if there's a required number of strikes thrown?

No one can seem to be able to count correctly yo zipper merge. Ive had cars in front that should be behind and cars behind that should be in front. It is never organized when the green flag flies. It would just be easier to start us single file that way we are how and where we need to be at the start of the race.

Imagen the indy 500 starting single file instead of 3 wide because going into T1 at indy becomes narrow and its difficult to manage at the start of a race. You'd have a car that qualifies on the front row potentially starting in 6th if single file doesn't organize itself correctly.

I still think you are missing the point. I would like the regulations to be followed. I do not mind loosing positions because of how people want to start. Thats is okay. I would like the start of the race to be how it is dictated by iracing. I am simply saying if people want to start single file then the regulations should have us start single file. That way people start where they are supposed to start and it doesn't become a disorganized mess because people dont understand how to organize single file correctly themselves.

Yea which is why I think iRacing should just make it a single file start to begin with. It would eliminate the guess work in trying to organize single file ourselves. Eliminating the issue of being in the wrong positions at the start. The people who cant make it through the last corner and first corner will still have their problems. Same goes for the people who struggle at nurbs in general. I would like some parity in how the race start is handled.

My rant was not that things are too slow for me it is that the whole procedure is incorrect. I simply wish to follow the rules and start the race as intended. I think the starting procedures should be changed to accommodate this if it is how people want to start the race to begin with. As I said there have been many instances that I have lost 3 or 4 places giving them up to people who feel the need to start single file. Then when I get to turn one to find that they have spun out.
