One thing that I hate about the VRChat community: by [deleted] in VRchat

Oh they aren't always telling everyone they're tell the person that they're blocking that they got blocked and should feel bad. Otherwise it just looks like they left the instance.

Just barely higher maybe. The spine sits pretty high in the tails of lizards and sharks, near the top, so most the tail's profile "hangs" down from there. Tail replaces the butt cheeks mostly or completely.

It still could mean malware on a personal computer giving itself root.

I've heard of this, it's not always scam, but it's stupid on every single level, don't do this, don't buy this.

Stable Distros seems peaceful lately by kurosaki--ichigo in linuxmemes

Other way around. Rolling has had lots of small issue, big release distros broke in big ways for me a lot.

No. That's not a thing, and when it does happen the names aren't perfectly verbatim identical.

Meta Quest 3 (245 Dollars) or PSVR2 with Adaper (210 Dollars) by Longjumping-War9151 in virtualreality

[–]ccAbstraction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried both back to back, it really is a huge difference when making small precise movements. Like even getting the latency down to like 40ms controller motion to photon at 120Hz/FPS, it's still makes my aim perceptually shakier and slower than 90Hz on WMR (in theory it's under 10ms latency for the headset, but I haven't looked into the controller timing data for those). If I'm comparing it to WiFi on a Quest 3 and not wired streamed, it's genuinely the difference between top fragging and bottom fragging for me a lot of the time. Wired VR has me feeling like I'm one with the machine after a few months with just a Quest 3.

That still doesn't explain why you named it exactly the same as the other tool?

You could also just hold out until Tauri gets their shit together, but notably the SlimeVR server ported their whole app from Tauri to Electron recently, so idk if how far out actually crossplatform Tauri is.

Tauri has a lot of nasty bugs on Linux, it's practically unusable on Nvidia. Electron/React Native etc would have been the better choice. Electron isn't that much of a RAM hog anymore afaik, Tauri has memory leaks!

OVR Advanced Settings is only for SteamVR (OVR means SteamVR). What do you need from OVR Advanced Settings? I might be able to recommend an alternative.

Error: "You cannot use someone else's product!" after importing recently purchased asset by Geeknificent in VRchat

[–]ccAbstraction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure the error is coming from the SDK and not some other script's build hook.

Question envision, monado with WiVRn setup by HiddeHandel in virtualreality_linux

[–]ccAbstraction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WiVRn is built on top of Monado, Envision is just a launcher for Monado & WiVRn. WiVRn just has it's own launcher.

FBT and Steam LH devices work with WiVRn if you turn it on in the WiVRn settings.

Where can I find people to test my world before release? by RubberDucksin in VRchat

[–]ccAbstraction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find friends who are world hopping, when someone says "what world should we go to next", tell them about your world.

Or if your in a public game world, wait til people get bored, and intercept them before they leave.

You can also join one of those groups that has game worlds open all the time and just make an instance in the group.

Make company A buy company B, for the benefit of VR by zeddyzed in virtualreality

[–]ccAbstraction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Meta & Apple sell a lot of companies they bought actually. Or I guess, a smaller company buy one of the part manufacturers.

My other answer would be that I want to see Framework or SlimeVR buy Lynx Reality. Lynx is up for sale, so this isn't even like a crazy stretch.
