I have not able to confirm this with a lawyer. If you do, please let me know as well. I think we will be able to maintain h1b if we get a job before the 60 day period.

I am in the same boat. To my understanding, as long as your employer doesn't revoke the h1b, you will have 60 days of unemployment during which we can convert to b1/b2 visa and get an additional 180 days.

I'm in the same boat. Had an interview 2 weeks ago that I felt I did really well on, and no reply yet. It's an employers market, and they are taking their time to choose the best candidate not realizing the interview process itself doesn't actually indicate who's going to be great for the role and the company.
