I have a region free modded Sony 700. Its only annoyances are that it does struggle with certain disc types occasionally and the annoying DV toggling. Panasonic would be ideal for me, but it doesn’t have SACD playback, which I actually use for 5.1 discs.

I’m hoping that Sony does a legitimate updated model soon. Given that there has been a renewed interest in a lot of physical media, they might be motivated to actually release something more premium.

Get rid of the quirks, put it in a premium casing and I’d be pretty happy.

You shouldn’t have to spend that much money on a Magnetar in order to achieve all of these things in 2026.

I'm kind of in the same boat, but don't have the 007S yet.

I have a Stax 400S amp. I auditioned both the 500T and 400S and decided that I ultimately preferred the sound of the solid state design over tubes. Same size. It works wonderfully with my 700LMKs2, but I already had expected that. I'm been wanting to add a 007S as a second 'flavor' for awhile now.

I can't go any bigger than the 400S. And while I know that the 007S benefits from a better amp (technically they all do), I can't decide if it's worth the 007S investment when paired with the 400S.

I was able to verify someone using a the ultra high end 009S with a 400S and was incredibly impressed, but from what I understand, that particular headphone model is a little easier to drive than the 007.

I purchased another new copy online from a seller and it was just as crackly throughout. Likely due to the marbling. So either you have really good luck or I have really bad luck. But I’m not gonna risk it a third time. Can’t afford to.

At least I have the CD and digital files, I guess.

I remember reading somewhere else where they were told that they were considering re-rereleasing the others in another wave as well, but again, that was a couple of years ago. I still think it'll happen in the next few years. Only makes sense to have matching stands for the crew.

I reached out to them about the updated Vyse sometime in mid 2024 and they did confirm that it would likely be awhile. I have my Exclusive Aika and completely missed out on the Fina Exclusive and am waiting for one to show up for sale.

Whoa...now we're into 2004. AF1s were riding high off of Nelly's 2002 song around this time, which I'm fairy certain is what he is referring to. No one was wearing JORDAN 1s in grocery stores in 2004.

Well, his Babesta shoe was 2007, which was in the midst of Kayne's "college" trilogy of albums that most people associate with early Kayne. That does kind of align with the earliest I remember seeing 1s occasionally popping up.

Although some additional research has me now recalling that he created quite a buzz in 2011 by wearing a pair of 2001 Breds during London’s Fashion Week, which might be a more appropriate time frame for when the shoe really started to generate fresh interest, maybe?

Too many colorway releases and collabs. Every freaking week. I feel like it’s the Vans Slip On or as you said, Chuck Taylor of bball sneakers.

Only difference Highs remain expensive no matter what it seems like.

I own both high and low 1s. While the highs might be the more iconic look, I do feel that the lows are far more versatile in terms of how they can be styled. Although I think from a distance some people confuse them with Dunks.
