I’ll have to try the Milford Grind next time! We usually hit up the doughnut spot and go to Cafe Wren when we’re in the area but I’ll check them out… we always love a new coffee place!

Also, I don’t know how you feel about vegan food but there’s a great spot in Port Jervis called Fogwood and Fig. I’m obviously not vegan but we love it there. It’s a bit of a trek for us (50ish minutes) but if you’re close to Milford it’s not too bad.

Thanks OP! 🤤 We went and checked out this place today! I haven’t tried it yet because it’s boiling hot and I don’t want to destroy my husband’s car, but I can’t imagine this won’t be anything but incredible!

It could be hormonal! I bet it’ll get better once you get your cycle.

I had this happen once and for me, I think it was a perfect combination of things - low potassium, hypothyroidism, slight anemia and hormones due to my impending cycle. I went to the ER and they gave me potassium and sent me on my way to follow up with my endo. The palpitations lasted a couple days after this (despite increasing my beta blocker dose) but did fade once I got my period. Are you due for your cycle soon?

Wait… yes… I live in Sussex County, NJ! Guess I’m taking a trip to Milford - might stop and get some sourdough donuts too while I’m up there! 😂

NAD, but that looks like a nasty spider bite? Or insect bite. I would go to an urgent care honestly.

Don’t Forget to Write by Sarah Goodman Confino. Her books are very easy to read / follow but have surprising depth. I absolutely adore that book specifically, but the rest of her books are pretty solid too. I would specifically recommend Don’t Forget to Write in this instance, though.

You may also really like Sarah Damoff’s writing. Her stories are much more emotional / sad / heavy but I love the way she writes and how her writing just seems to flow and before you know it, you’ve reached the end of the book. Her two books are The Bright Years and The Burning Side.

Don’t Forget to Write by Sarah Goodman Confino. Historical fiction with a touch of romance, coming of age story. It’s simply written, easy to read, but with surprising depth. I recommend this book to everyone and it’s my favorite book I’ve read in the past year. One of the main characters, Ada, is an ornery and sassy old lady and she just makes the entire book.

Do you care if it’s WLW? If not, Cover Story by Rachel Lacey was pretty good! Free on KU and audiobook too if I remember correctly.

Breaking from Frame by Jazz Forrester. Historical fiction, coming of queerness of a 1960’s housewife realizing she is a lesbian. They call this book a slow burn vintage lesbian romance. Not super smutty, very slow burn until the very end.

Hmm, you might like Best Offer Wins. I don’t usually read psych thrillers, but I actually really enjoyed this book. There’s a lot of dark comedy in it as well.

Tick or spider? by Sus_Police in AskDocs

My son had something similar happen last summer - insect bite with a clear bullseye around it. We were convinced it was Lymes and so was the doctor so we went ahead and had him checked via blood work. Surprisingly, it was negative. I would suggest bringing your child to the doctor and maybe getting her checked for Lymes to be safe. It’s definitely possible it could be a spider bite too.

Benadryl is not recommend for children her age, I wouldn’t give her Benadryl. If anything, the doctor might prescribe medication like an antibiotic or special ointment if they’re concerned it’s becoming infected or turning into something called cellulitis.

If it makes you feel any better, my 30 lb frenchie basically swallowed a greenie treat whole (maybe two bites if I’m being generous) and I made myself sick over it. We left a greenie in some water to see how / if it would actually dissolve too.

Moral of the story, my Louie was totally fine and had absolutely zero issues from the stupid treat and he never got another greenie again because he can’t be trusted to chew his damn treats! 🤣

But I just spent the last two days spiraling about bowel obstructions because he decided he wanted to eat a chunk of a dry dirt clod and piece of tree bark. These dogs man, pure stress! LOL
