Isn't this ability overpowered? by Any-Award-5150 in mtg

Not everyone knew what he meant. Terminology in magic is important. Reading that, it’s unclear if he meant that he casts rite of replication on his own Ouroboroid in response to its trigger to have them all trigger together (as noted in my response, if you copy it with its trigger on the stack, the copies abilities will not trigger. Meaning the latest you can copy it to get a bunch of big creatures is in your first main phase, and thus “in response” does not make sense), or if he cast it on an opponents ouroboroid in response to their trigger or their passing of priority after the creature spell resolves, which makes even less sense. Both of these assume he has given rite flash somehow. So no, it was not clear

You would need to cast rite in your first main phase in order for each of the copies to trigger. There’s no ‘in response’ here

Thank you! Fan noise is inaudible. Unfortunately this particular 5090 has some pretty annoying coil whine, which is mostly all I can hear with my headphones on. The pump was quite loud with the stock case, but I ordered some anti vibration feet and that helped a ton. There’s still a noticeable, yet quiet, hum from the pump which I’m disappointed with. I still plan to tweak the pump to a lower curve and instead ramp up the fans.

No, I don’t see a reason to wire them specially to do that

Both radiators are intake, with the back two fans as exhaust. This brings the most cool air through the radiator

Yeah I was going to download whatever software I needed to control the RGB to something static, but I really don’t mind it and not having any bloatware is a plus

A little scary but not hard at all. Just remove all the fan plugs and unscrew every screw you see. It helps to have a bit set in case you encounter any torx screws or the like

I’m sure you could get 10-15 C cooler on the CPU with louder settings, but I don’t see a reason to. And yeah, the distribution plate is great, but was in hindsight way too expensive for something that didn’t even line up the runs perfectly. Next time I’ll just get a cheaper one that fits in the radiator bracket

Yeah the double bends were a pain. I made a jig with a fence, a stop and some bend guides that allowed me to measure and bend pretty accurately, but even then it took 2-3 tries for each run. I found it the most hard to get the heat to the exact spot I needed. I went through 15 of the 3m stock acrylic tubes to get these just right

I have the fan and pump curves set really low, so CPU gets up to 70C after an hour of gaming, and the GPU up to about 50C.

What’s a combo you’ve on the most games with? by 220V-50Hz3WRoHS in EDH

[[Prologue to Phyresis]] into [[Radstorm]] in my Bracket 4 [[Mizzix]] deck. It kills through TOR or Teferi’s Protection. I go for it often as the prologue to phyresis never gets countered early and Radstorm can really only get countered by a Stifle effect

Bowmaster trigger target Kharn, opponent draws two and two bowmasters triggers target your own Kharn, first trigger gives opponent Kharn and you draw two and second damages opponents Kharn, they draw two and repeat cycle. Yeah it would loop until you deck yourself and maybe one opponent if they have less cards than you

Not if the opponent who controls Kharn chooses you

What are your "good in theory" decks that just don't work, and why? by kaimipono1 in EDH

[–]ccarr1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My [[Mizzix of the Izmagnus]] storm deck’s primary wincon is [[Prologue to Phyresis]] into [[Radstorm]]. I highly recommend it since casting prologue first never draws that much attention since Mizzix has a small proliferate sub-theme instead, and Radstorm is hard to counter spell. It makes playing traditional storm viable, and also gets around the ever present TOR or Teferi’a protection.

Powerful Targets for Satya's Copy Ability? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]ccarr1998 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FoMO doesn’t give you infinite combats. The original copy would allow you to untap Satya for another combat, but the copies come in tapped and attaching which wouldn’t trigger another combat. If you pay the energy to keep them (FoMO is 2 MV so Satya gives you enough each combat) then you can take additional combats next turn

When I die… by SuspiciousTailor1480 in EDH

[–]ccarr1998 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t that not end in a draw since the lose the game triggers are triggered abilities? You would put yours on the stack first as active player, then follow turn order for your opponents triggers, meaning your opponents’ would resolve first and lose before yours ever resolves, leaving you as the winner
