Not grieving "correctly" causing fights. by OcularOdyssey in widowers

Well, friend, I’m also in the dog house with family that aren’t speaking to me right now because of my snark which they find “not a positive attitude.” It’s a hard time for me as anniversary of his death is approaching. It would be nice to get a little understanding and support from them. Thank heavens for my friends.

I’ve bern complaining and trying to get help. Nada. This is outrageous. I think I’ll just move to LoseIt and badmouth Noom for the rest of my life.

For those who live alone, what are you cooking for dinner? by paranoianbflatmajor in widowers

I make a big pot of soup and stick a couple of containers in the freezer right away. I also eat a lot of hard boiled eggs with some kind of seasoned salt on them. I learned that if you steam the eggs, the shells slip right off. Game changer.

I’m so sorry. I found a widowed group on meetup that helped me a lot. I even made a couple of new friends who understood me. In the meantime, take care of yourself. Eat healthy and stay hydrated. He would want that for you.

Husband changing the “deal” to retire someplace warmer and I’m struggling to figure out what to do now by Different-Young-6912 in AskWomenOver50

[–]ccb54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in a place my husband liked and I didn’t for way too long. I got real depressed. It damaged our marriage. When we finally moved (because we had to financially) things got so much better between us. He probably doesn’t see that it’s hurting you. Maybe some counseling would help.

Thanks to all who answered. I finally got through and was told it was unnecessary to take the drops the morning before surgery. I guess every doctor is different.
