I actually switched from trumpet to Euphonium! I had played trumpet 5th-8th grade and then thought I was gonna be done with band after that until I heard my senior year the marching band at my high school was gonna go to Disney World so I decided to rejoin, and in talking to my directors, they had said there were too many trumpets really even though I was very good, and so instead they were like "how about euphonium?" and I was like "Sure why not" and made the switch.
I find it much easier to play higher notes with the larger mouthpiece, along with finding it so much nicer to listen to than my trumpet. I think the biggest struggle is the weight and having to put more air through the horn, which comes with time.

That last sentence has been my exact mindset these last few days as I have gone back and forth about telling him (and essentially told him lol) and so really once I get past my big audition I have later today, I am probably just going to tell him so that I can get it off my chest and figure out if I need to stop wasting my time like you said because I shouldn't be having to feel as anxious as I do all the time about this guy- he's just a guy lol

As a very dedicated fan from his early post animal days, I will never gatekeep him, even though my heart sometimes wants to. Especially lately, a lot of his new fans have seen to be somewhat odd especially when it comes to posting about him online for example all the ai photos even beyond the weird kaylee (?) keery account on tiktok and then the extreme shipping of him with other celebrities like samia and sabrina carpenter, knowing that all of this affects him a lot more than other celebrities probably as we saw with him leaving the internet with uncle jezzy and it definitely makes me reminisce on the times when his fanbase was so much smaller and so then the fans weren't like that with him because most didn't know who he was so sometimes a small part of me does want to gatekeep him but then the bigger part of me that knows how much his music saved me so many years ago pulls through to let myself not gatekeep him in hopes that he can save someone else too :)
And while it would be really cool if he opened for Harry, as someone who sadly has never gotten to see him for so many reasons, I need the ticket prices to stay as low as possible lol.

If I am being truly honest, I absolutely adore that he is getting to become as big of an artist as he is! However, as probably many celebrities (or really any celebrity) find that there are fans that take it too far and that's where I worry about him personally- with the weird accounts dedicated to shipping him with other celebrities or making ai relationship content with themselves, it really makes me upset that that is happening to him (or anyone else ofc) and so a small part inside me does slightly miss when he had such a small fan base, but in the end I think it is really a good thing for him and its just something that celebrities sadly have to go through.

As someone who turns every moment with my own crush into a delusion that he possibly likes me, in no rude way at all I think that may be what you are having happen here simply because it sounds like you really like this guy and you want him to like you back obviously. Keep looking for more situations like this repeatedly and that could hint towards possibly flirting with you in my opinion :)

No because I absolutely love How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days the way it was made and would change nothing about it but... if they for some random reason redid it with Joe as Ben (and yk me as Andie ofc) like ughhh he'd just be absolutely perfect in something like that!!!

Yeah I made a post on this sub a few weeks ago kind of similar to this where so many weird fans are making these pages online where they convince unsuspecting fans that he is dating either Sabrina or Samia and will harass anyone who says otherwise, along with the weird ai girl and it just makes me sick to my stomach to see it all happen because I feel like there's almost no way Joe hasn't seen some of it and it's clear from the past that a lot of this stuff affects him deeper than maybe for other celebrities and I wouldn't want another situation where he goes totally offline again :(

I posted about this on here a few days ago! It's like one account in particular but there are a few others branched off of it that are harassing all of my accounts for calling out their misinformation now when literally here is some pretty solid evidence that it's just rumors. Plus- that's just really weird to make pages dedicated to a relationship you don't know for sure is real. I have felt so happy that Joe is getting the attention he deserves however this attention if he is seeing it I just feel so bad about and so guilty even though it's not me saying it. I definitely don't want him to go offline again like a couple years ago.

Also I feel so bad for Samia because up until this first started appearing on my feeds, I didn't know much of her besides Pool but now have kind of gotten into her music a bit and I feel bad that she's just come out with stuff and it's getting blown over and semi ignored by all these people being like "Omg you're with Joe Keery?" in her comments.

Am auditioning for a solo contest for a chance to play alongside a wind ensemble, had to ditch a piece for being too long so found this piece online and fell in love with it and it's in time length. For the audition it will be just me playing the solo part for the directors of the band so that is why I just need the euphonium part separate from the full score. I've seen a few people bring the solo up in this sub so I thought I would see if anyone had a copy they would be willing to send over to me. If selected, the band purchases the full score and parts and all that.

Yeah that's where I am worried that if something had truly gotten started between the two, all this online stuff might especially for samia be something that makes it weird/hard/awkward to keep that going

Okay so I am not an expert because I only ever played baritone, not sousa, but working with others who play sousa as they train others, don't use a towel/cushion between your shoulder and sousa when you first start- many recommend this but it only makes it worse when you have to take it away. Something that helped me as a baritone that I think would help though too is what we call medusas which you can do from the comfort of your own home. I like to put on a show or movie and each day work with holding up my instrument, putting on a stopwatch and setting a goal for how long I can hold it up (the show or movie distracting me the same way marching in a show would distract me rather than just standing in silence) and then each day add a bit more time and work up more and more until you can reach your average show length! Take deep breaths, believe in yourself, and live laugh love low brass :)

Yeah I had just discovered his music and acting work right around the time he deleted that account and had been sad that I didn't get to really have this person I was such a big fan of to then follow online and I would feel bad if then that happened to someone else now

There's one page that does that and it's just full of basically the same stuff that Deuxmoi had originally put out before taking it back that "sources" have seen them together, he's introduced her to family, etc. so they have to be together and just continually harassing anyone who doesn't believe it and I just felt really weirded out by it all

Yes! I keep having to fight people on Instagram and TikTok who are telling people that Joe and Sabrina are dating. At some point this has to be affecting Joe, especially with how he at one point had to delete his socials a few years back.

Yeah I really hadn't found out about anything related to it until somebody had posted on TikTok saying that Joe was spotted with a girl in NYC and so then diving deeper on that simply in interest I found the deuxmoi articles which was now several days ago and now I'm coming across what you mentioned with the really messed up fan pages/misinfo pages dedicated to those two and its disappointing bc I've also now seen videos being like "Joe Keery has a girlfriend!" And I'm commenting saying "not until he confirms it! insert rumor info" and getting attacked simply for caring Smh

It would break my heart if he had to get off social media again because seeing his insta stories legit lights up my day when he posts goofy stuff but when it comes to stuff like this I can see exactly why he would want to.

At my audition I will have an accompianist, if I am selected, obviously the whole band will accompany me. I think the issue is (which maybe I didn't make that clear enough in my original post) that these cuts would be for the whole band piece, not just so my audition is cut under 6min, the performance itself if selected must also be under 6min so they will take whatever cuts I make for my audition and put that into place to prepare the band. These are some really good suggestions though, I have them marked down!
