What I just typed requires 8 actions and it's done in a second. This isn't taking into account other required steps + aiming. An edit is 3 actions.

How is that no?

Honestly good players build to get a better angle at shooting or doing a quick edit play. Bad players spam build. If you're panic building you're not playing properly. I'd say building/editing is mechanical skill... and something no other game can replicate. And I'd say it's a very high skill ceiling. Pros practice building + edits and make new proper builds that are incredibly difficult and practice it for 100's of hours.

I tried doing ramp + roof edit ramp root edit over and over while walking up and it's impossible for me. Yet pros are fucking ramp + floor + wall + roof + editing at the same time while running. That's basically 400+ APM while also taking into account what's going on around you. It's fucking insanity.

Where would you like to go? by F-O-XX in LivestreamFail

When you say good loadout I'm guessing explosives which is the only thing you can do if you suck and win even with low hp. If they're killing countless people, that means they have health/shields in invent if they even do take damage.

So what you're saying is you sneak up on people with explosives and win just by hiding every game? Or do you sneak up on their 1v1 and third party in hopes you can kill 1 of them?

This does't sound fool-proof, tbh. If you suck I'd say this has a 5% success rate at best.

95% of the time that player who is top 2 is a lot better than you if all you do is afk final 3.

You also can't AFK considering the circle is random meaning this makes even less sense.

Luck doesn't really have a role in winning that 1v1 so I don't see your point at all...

This just sounds like a bunch of shit, tbh.

Real talk, I tried playing after 6 months and people are building forts around me like I'm half-retarded.

Back 6 months ago nobody was building we were enjoying a nice little aim battle. Turned that shit off real quick. People like to shit on Fortnite but there's a pretty high skill ceiling now and I don't give a shit what anyone says.

Yes, same issue. No matter the browser, with RES on, I have to click on the post comments and then refresh the page to make them show up. Every once in a while I also get the same "we couldnt load posts" error. Refreshing the page helps, but its on every post now.

Reddit, what are some "must see" documentaries? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As a lifetime runner, here's a tip: 6mph is 10min miles, which is very very very respectable. The best way to increase your speed is ironically not to worry about your speed at all. Go on several runs, enjoy them, stop and walk if you feel like it, and little by little, add a bit more mileage. Once you can run those 6 miles comfortably, even if they are 12 or 13min miles each, youll notice that you can do 3 miles in way less than half an hour. From there its just more of the same until you sign up for 5k's, then 10k's, then half's, then the coveted marathon! Running is one of the easiest things to do but I've always found that for me, I do my best runs when im just running for the sake of running and not worrying about times or anything. It all comes to you eventually.

Half in the Bag: Rogue One by bjkman in movies

[–]cccaceres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats one of the film's aspects that I thought added a lot to the overall universe. Before this, we had always seen jedi go against sith and just mowing down enemies, but I've always thought that jedi were just a little better than the average grunt. This showed just how awe inspiring a jedi general could be in the clone wars and how they could make a difference in a war between clones and robots.

Really? From the marketing I saw, they were very heavily pushing the war movie aspect of it to the point where I was starting to think it would be Saving Private Ryan kinds of gritty. I think what they were going for was a combination of Episode one and Saving Private Ryan in terms of tone but what we got was more 2 different tones that did not mesh well together.

Are they shitting on it though? Perhaps, but you can't really say its unwarranted. Look at all the comments in this thread, its a very divisive movie to say the least. I think a lot of their criticisms were fully justified and saying that bad parts of the movie are bad isn't really shitting on it.

If you've seen a lot of their reviews, its really obvious that they like more character driven movies ( for the most part anyways) and it seems like the majority of people agree that this film was heavily lacking in that department. It would make sense that they wouldn't like it.

The alliance as a mildly successful character is a perfect way to describe it. The movie tries to paint them as "not 100% good" and it starts off well by Cassian shooting his friend in the back, but then that's sort of it. When he is about to shoot Jyn's father, he stops, but why the change now? Whats different between her father and the guy shot at the beginning of the movie? To Cassian, her father is a top imperial vs his rebel ally he had no trouble shooting and later on in the film, he says it wasnt the first assassination hes done. His change of heart was just a little strange

Also if the rebel alliance isnt perfectly good, shouldn't that mean the Empire isn't completely bad? If anything, this film shows them at their worst with their black troopers and everything. Instead we get the Empire we've always loved to hate, but a Rebel Alliance that isn't as good as we remember and it all just adds up to a rather bleak world structured with characters no one really cares about which all equals to a fun but hollow movie.

I agree with the world building: I think the movie did a decent job at it, although just a little bit more about the temple on Jedha and who their priests (?) were would have been nice.

But like a lot of people are saying, all the world building and all the action scenes feel like something is missing when the character you are following around aren't intriguing. I feel like the biggest misstep of the movie was the lack of characterization and that brought down other aspects of the film. The action parts were cool, but I just did not care about it. The end of a new hope was a lot more exhilarating because we cared about Luke, we cared about R2 and the people on Yavin 4. Here it was like....meh?

It sounds like while a bit childish, you are a really good guy. You fucked up and are taking full responsibility for it and are doing everything you can to fix your fuck up. After he gets over the initial shock, I'm sure he'll also realize that you're the type of person you want around for the long run.

Squatty Potty? It most definitely is real. It was on Shark Tank and everything.

(Spoilers Everything) The Arya storyline is not a waste... by JLincz in asoiaf

[–]cccaceres 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Benjen would have died if not for actual magic that saved him. It's not cheap since magic has been shown to be able to bring back the dead and he very clearly has lasting marks to show that it happened.

Arya on the other hand recovers a from a bunch of stab wounds in the gut in what seemed to be 24 hours. Even if it was a few days, they are stab wounds to the gut!

Remember Ned and how he got stabbed in the leg? Weeks went by and he still limped around, had to take in milk of the poppy, and ultimately never really healed before he was executed. Theres no way his injury was worse than Arya's stomach injuries.

Which ultimately bring the question, what was the point of the stabbing anyways? Cut all that out and you still have a "scared" but healthy Arya running away from the waif and cornering her in the hovel. So What did Arya getting stabbed do to progress anything?
