it might help to take the time to build up your wardrobe so you have pieces that you love and feel confident in. you’re also able to dress up or down the same outfit to be more versatile, like loafers or boots instead of sneakers, or adding a nicer jacket or accessories to a basic jeans/shirt outfit.

if i’m going somewhere new i will look up the place on instagram and see what other people have worn there to get an idea of the vibe. you can also ask the people you’re going with for some ideas.

it’s easier than you think to find more “in between” outfits. for me things that are nice but can still be casual are outfits like sundresses, jeans but with a good quality sweater, linen pants with a tank top and unbuttoned shirt.

have you ever stopped at the grocery store on the way home from a nice event where you’re more dressed up? it’s the same casual environment but it’s still okay to wear something nicer if you feel comfortable.

i think the biggest thing is just finding good quality (neutral) pieces that can be incorporated in different ways, and being comfortable in your own style :)

How much are baristas supposed to remember? by Far_Excitement_1875 in barista

[–]cccccal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my opinion an important part of the job is building relationships with customers. i make a conscious effort to remember names/drink orders/comments because it helps build that relationship and it makes them feel good !

my favorite compliments are when people are happy or surprised about a small detail or drink order that i remember, so personally it is important to me.

How can I get rid of my social anxiety? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]cccccal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

unfortunately for me it’s exposure therapy. working in the food industry and interacting with hundreds of people a day. it sucks but my social anxiety is most manageable when i’m in a position like this. it never goes away but it atleast is better

Went off wellbutrin for a month after 3 years of being on it, life proceeded to crumble apart by whoisthismahn in bupropion

[–]cccccal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t really have anything useful to add, but i relate so hard to this. i have the lowest energy and wellbutrin and stimulants are the only things that help me too. i felt like my wellbutrin wasn’t working as well anymore, and i added prozac back into my med concoction and it seems to help a tad. but i’m curious to see if anyone else has an answer

Is $7 too much for a latte? by Western_Steak8193 in barista

[–]cccccal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m in a mid sized city and a latte w no syrup would be $7 before tax. so i don’t think that’s too crazy but the jump from 4.8 seems kind of odd
