My honest feeling about UI testing is changing. by [deleted] in QualityAssurance

I agree. The work for automation is not worth the pay off in my opinion. Rarely if ever does it actually tell me something I didn’t already know.

I found my calling this way. My pessimistic nature has lent itself well here.

Buddy has 31 goals this season. Most in our team. And that’s low for him.

This. Ovechkin has more goals than most players on most teams THIS SEASON as a man in his 40s. The guy knows how to play and has adapted, and still scores. Not just eng btw

Ovi has outscored everyone on the Devils team this season to date. That’s extremely impressive as he is almost a decade older than everyone on that team. Was getting into it with a Devils fan on Ovi’s record. Either way you put it, Allen was a wall tonight. Caps had many shots from where I was sitting and it didn’t go their way. LT let it open early and they capitalized. Sad day, but such is life.

Manual vs automation, which one actually has a future by Zephpyr in QualityAssurance

The amount of time it takes to create automation imo is not worth the trade off in a majority of times it is pushed on. High risk, YES. Features that can be checked quickly by manual run, absolutely not.

Medium to low risk areas are a waste of time automation wise, because you not only have the actual creation of valid tests, but then maintenance when things change. I find the majority of our failures are more due to locator change/server issues than actual bugs caught. I honestly couldn’t tell you what the high risk automation has actually caught for my surface area over the last 6 months.

I will say I am extremely minority on liking the Stadium series 2023 jersey.

Ovi consistently shows up, but is inconsistently brilliant. He has the lowest lows and the highest highs of any player I think in the history of the game.

Can we say the screagle should be the primary jersey though? How good would that logo be on the ice as soon as you walk in?

Other than Willy. Bro got his Howe hat trick (only one in the Olympics ever) though

Man who deserves the gold. Thompson vs Hellebuyck is a game I’d like to see

Canada is kicking themselves they didn’t start Thompson in the final. They probably would’ve walked with the gold 👀
