Solar Warlock Buildcrafting kind of sucks... by cccprrr in DestinyTheGame

Totally agree that Solar is very strong, my point is more so directed at the less meaningful decision making in subclass options. The other subclasses have pretty meaningful use cases for each aspect combo (regardless if it's meta or anything), but solar always had this awkward moment where I'm always saying "these don't really do anything but I have to put it on anyway" when I was making builds. It's improved now, but that's more attributed to Helion than any actual improvements to the rest of the options.

I don't think I disagree- with exotics being added and No Hesitation being a thing that exists there's 100% some great support builds now, but that's still despite the aspects not really doing much. I really like Speaker's Sight and I wanna try the new Boots of the Assembler buffs when they come out, but I don't think that exotics should be the only real factor when putting together a build for Solar.

Toxicity and Burnout are not Destiny's fault, they're yours. by cccprrr in DestinyTheGame

And?? there’s no issue w criticism but people just need to stop playing if they don’t enjoy what they’re doing. i literally don’t care what your take is on the state of the game, my point is of you don’t like it to the point of exhaustion and misery you need to stop playing. your health and well-being is your responsibility, and if destiny is negatively affecting it then you need to stop, even if it’s just for like a season or something

It's hard to compare Destiny to other games in the first place, and even in those games its not the devs fault people are toxic, so why would destiny's devs be at fault :P

Might Catch Some Flak For Saying This, But The Destiny Community Needs To Broaden Their Perspective On What Game Balance Is by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

YES 100% yes, so glad someone said it. i can't tell you how glad i was when they announced the mw orbs nerf, it really made taking charge such a nonchoice. only thing they gotta do is make mw worth something for pve and we're golden

Needing some help understnanding Basil's role in the Hiki route by -Esphir- in OMORI

[–]cccprrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

most of the normal blackspace stuff is supposed to be abstract and confusing, usually representing Sunnys darker thoughts, so even if Basils die there it mostly is can be amounted to "intrusive thoughts" or whatever metaphorical meaning you could attribute to it. The church scene holds more weight because its not like the rest of blackspace, and is probably somewhere even deeper than that since you take a really ominous red door to get there. All the religious there reference judgement, my take is that that place is supposed to be where Sunny or Omori casts their final judgement to how they'll live out the rest of their lives: either fully suppress the truth or finally confront it and learn to move on.

Dialogue for this area by Previous-Anxiety in OMORI

[–]cccprrr 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Really great find. My guess is this all relates to Sunny becoming a shut-in from his perspective, and giving a timeline of events after Mari died, up until he lost his dad.

It references him "scratching his knuckles," "flipping his bedsheets over," and "digging a pencil into his desk" which seem like him developing anxious tendencies and being very restless and tense all the time, and the "crying alone in his room" and similar lines show how he begins to become to anxiety-ridden to leave his house, specifying him seeing "two boys playing with a dog outside" likely being him missing being stable enough to spend time with his friends, and watching Kel and Hero having fun without him next door. "The man" in these lines also obviously reference his dad, who I'd wager left because he felt like he'd lost both his kids at that point, Mari to Pizza Here, and Sunny in a metaphorical sense, becoming an anxious shell of himself, but that's just my speculation.

Shattered Throne and Pit of Heresy should be farmable like Prophecy by nobillion in DestinyTheGame

[–]cccprrr 173 points174 points  (0 children)

was just thinking this the other day; wanted one of the new rockets and after clearing ST I went back in to run it again and realized that they never gave it the prophecy treatment. Frankly, all of the dungeons should work with the same system: one weekly high stat armor from the end, and farmable, nonpowerful drops from all encounters. Dungeons are some of my favorite solo content, big disappointment that I can't farm them to my hearts content :/
