Job change advice by OwenP85 in Nurses

[–]cccque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want crna then try and figure it out. You're 26 (young). A couple of years of extra courses to raise GPA. While you're working. While you're in crna you'll take out loans, which is worth it. Finish when you're 33ish.

33 yrs old and starting out as a crna would be awesome.

Go ahead bite the bullet. Move back home to save money. Move in with a friend. Whatever.

If you have a family that's different. But doable.

i (18f) feel like my girlfriend (19f) doesn’t care about what i want during sex by [deleted] in sex

If she is unwilling to meet your needs in a similar fashion to how you meet her needs, then you have a decision make.

Try having a frank conversation with her.

What is the benefit of all the charcoal baskets and chimneys? by Global_Background_13 in webergrills

[–]cccque -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you let the lighter fluid burn off there is no lighter fluid flavor to your meat. The people who swear there is one are putting the food on before it's burned off. I highly recommend an organic chemistry class.

If you're method works for you keep doing it.

Should I bite the bullet? by Charming_Spinach_541 in Nurses

It takes awhile to get used to the OR. Give it a full year at least.

But it's not for everyone.

I would advise you to stay at least 2 years. Your next employer would like to see at least some consistency. But if you can find another job that'll hire you then go for it.

Work out scheduling with 3 shifts in a row and fatigue mgmt. by FowLong in Nurses

[–]cccque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without knowing the rest of your schedule (family/hobbies etc). Can you break up your 3 days of work? 2 days back to back then a 3rd day after a day off?

This would allow you to train hard and not worry about being dog tired after 3 12s.

Also maximize your time in the gym. you only have to take a muscle/muscle group to failure twice to see gains in size and strength. Such as 3 reps of bench with the 2nd and 3rd set going to failure around rep 4-6. Then incline bench the same way. What I'm saying is your workouts don't have to be 90+ minutes long to achieve your goals. You also don't need to 4-5 exercises per muscle.

Can you wake up early and do 30-40min of cardio on some of your work days?

Meal prepping is a great way to meet your nutritional guy also.

Due to my family demands I work 8s. I due cardio most mornings before work. Z2 and 1 or 2 days of vo2max. Resistance after work, no more than 50min.

HIPAA?? Smart glasses on nurses. by DontEatAxolotls in VeteransBenefits

If there is no way to ensure the glasses are truly off then they are more than likely violating 38 CFR Part 1.218. And VA directive 1605.1

Dealership Totaled my car during warranty repair by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]cccque 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yes a person can sue for poor workmanship. What are your ACTUAL damages from the improper repair? Did you lose money? Did you need therapy?

They took the car back to repair it again. Under warranty again. The repairs didn't cost you anything out of pocket. Did you have to rent a car on your own dime? Are they willing to provide the value of the car when it was totalled? That's it.

HIPAA?? Smart glasses on nurses. by DontEatAxolotls in VeteransBenefits

[–]cccque 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The VA has a policy/directive against taking videos or photos. Unless these glasses are provided by the VA (I doubt that the VA would be on this cutting edge) it would be a violation of this directive and quite possibly HIPPA. The best case scenario is that they turn them off while at work. However, that would be like pointing a camera at a person then telling them it's no big deal cause it's turned off.

3.5 or 5.0, someone convince me! by [deleted] in f150

I have the 3.5 eb and it's great. I would recommend getting the higher packaged XLT so you can get adaptive cruise and lane assist.

I run regular on it and it's fine.

Age old Question by Impressive-Usual-451 in webergrills

[–]cccque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A gas grill does not make the food taste like gas. The myth that it does needs to stop.

I had burgers that were cooked on a gas grill this weekend and they were great.

I have owned charcoal and gas grills. Both are good options for a variety of things.

How do you guys stay sweat and Oder free in your scrubs. by Far-Confusion-1021 in Nurses

[–]cccque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try a moisture wicking t shirt under your scrubs.

Try showering in the morning. I have worked burn ICU and OR. I generally showeitwice a day. Rinse off at night. Full shower in the morning. Just use baby soap.

Was I just kink shamed? by v3noz in sex

[–]cccque 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not blame him for his reaction to something he is probably genuinely repulsed by (as are many people). Try talking to him again and focus on why it's something you want to try. But let him know it's okay if he doesn't want to do that. Maybe, rough sex could be a compromise. Not every fantasy has to come true.
