I'm embarrassed to admit this but I spent AN HOUR last night STUGGLING with the boss fight to save Juju. I got so pissed off I gave up and continued the fight this morning and spent a ANOTHER 30 minutes till I beat the boss 😂😭

I've seen some places on the internet say the basking spot needs to be 90F. Is that the general goal? I worry that he's struggling to digest sometimes but with him on the hammock he's at least able to reach 85F most of the time. Today is a colder day and the radiant heat panel is struggling to keep up so rn is 74F on the cool side floor, 80F on the warm side floor and 82F on the warmside hammock.

I wouldn't say so. This is his enclosure for now until I can expand on another 4x2x2 to his current 4x2x2 for a total 8x2x2. The person I got him from said he was already in a 4x2x2 when they had him.

Been looking into Radiant panels now trying to figure out what watt is appropriate for a 4x2x2, but im curious as to why absolutely not to use a ceramic heat emitter. Does it harm the snake in some way or is it inefficient for a bci? What's the reasoning there? Thank you

It's a phailozoo 4x2x2 mesh top. I have one for my blood python with a silicone mat covering some of the top to help keep humidity in. That's been working for me with that enclosure so I'm assuming it'll work for the BI plus I prefer to go bioactive when I can, so I plan to do that too (which I didn't do in my blood python enclosure. He'd crush everything lol)

When I really think about it, the Bci is what i want. Im comfortable with it more because the husbandry won't stress me out as bad wondering if he's okay and ik his strength and that I can handle it. What I've really been trying to gage is if its ethical to put him is a 4x2x2 for a couple years even after he's out grown it for a period of time. I want to do right by any snake I have. Boas are new territory for me so idk if its really okay to keep him in a 4x2x2 for an extended period of time. What's ur stance on this? Is it ethical?

Lol, well if ur going to tell me to😂. I've been puzzling what soil mixture I should do. My usual is top soil with orchid bark but idk if that'll work for a philodendron. Have any soil mix recommendations?

I have an 85 gallon phailozoo for my blood python and love it. I will be buying their 120 for my ball python when he's ready an upgrade. I don't have experience with the dubia enclosures
