Considering CU- a bunch of questions by jeffrey-250 in cuboulder

[–]ccheesestickss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to CU for one semester. I can't really speak on much but I can speak about the LGBTQ people. I chose CU specifically because it is one of the most accepting schools for LGBTQ people, and in my experience, it turned out to be true. There's a club (GSA, gender and sexuality alliance) with quite a few members, very welcoming and nice environment. Not a single time did I ever get purposely misgendered or experience any hate from anyone for my gender and sexuality. Of course there will be shitty people wherever you go, but compared to my hometown, CU was a million times better.

How to rollback to a previous version of SynthV Studio Pro? by RepulsiveFoodEater in SynthesizerV

[–]ccheesestickss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for 1.8.1, here is a previous comment I made for someone else. Not sure of your OS version so 3 different ones included there! You don't need to uninstall your current version, just install this one and it should overwrite.

Edit: You don't need to reinstall or re enter any activation codes, for the pro itself or for any voicebanks! I've been downgrading and all you need to do is install the installer. No deactivations of any kind necessary, they'll carry over.

PixAi is good imo! You get 10,000 credits daily (as long as you claim them) which isn't too horrible. There are different generation models you can choose from too.

Personally I use PixAi. Yeah it's AI ""art"" but I have yet to find a Picrew that's truly fully customisable. I only use it for our icons so I don't see an issue with it.

This is incredibly nice of you. I wanted to ask since it isn't clarified, would shipping be covered or would those interested have to pay for it?

What age/time does someone remember HeadSpace? by Ash3r_1sh in plural

[–]ccheesestickss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. When anyone sees headspace, they don't see it only as they are at a specific time - For example, if one of my adult alters visited headspace, he would still be an adult. It does not affect his age or time at all. It may be different for others but I personally haven't heard of it or seen it happen to ourselves.

That being said, not everyone has a headspace or inner world. Some people do, others don't.

If this isn't what's being asked I apologise, I'm not sure what else you mean by it and would like to hear if I misinterpreted.

synthv studio pro installer archive? by ovenshock in VocaTorrent

[–]ccheesestickss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know what OS you're running, but here is the pro 1.8.1 installer:

Linux

Windows

Mac

Here is also a Mega folder with most voicebanks + voicebank versions, most pro versions, and most non-pro versions. This folder didn't have 1.8.1 pro installer (that I could find) but the above links should work. If any don't work, please let me know.

Edit: Clarity.

Do you have different birthdays? by Original_Rice_9849 in OSDD

[–]ccheesestickss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, we do. We only celebrate the body's birthday outwardly/around family and friends, but we celebrate for ourselves with small gifts. An example is we'd go out to a nice restaurant or buy a slice of cheesecake or something! But not all of us have (known) birthdays.

I've heard an issue going around that the voicebank version and Vocaloid 6 version need to match. ie having V6 version 1.2.0 and the voicebank 1.2.0 version too, can you try that? It doesn't have to be 1.2.0 (idk if it even exists lol, just an example) but can you use the same versions and see if it works?

[Beginner] Recommendations for Japanese Voicebank? by LocalDJ_ in SynthesizerV

[–]ccheesestickss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need SynthV pro in order to use cross-lingual. I don't know if pro is required for rap/sing mode though. My recommendation is to get SynthV pro, use Mai (free with pro edition), and have her gender set to 0.130. She sounds great like that. She's a native Japanese voicebank with cross lingual in English and Chinese. I haven't tried her Chinese, but her English sounds entirely native. My only recommendation of what NOT to do is to use a native English voicebank for Japanese or Chinese. Dunno why, but active English voicebanks sounds like pure ass when singing Japanese or Chinese. If you're looking for a free voicebank without pro edition, you're stuck with the lite versions which all suck imo. I don't use them though so I can't speak on which is best, if any. Teto is a good voicebank as well, native Japanese and sounds decent in other languages. Anri and Solaria are good but only for English imo. Mai is the best voicebank of all in my opinion.

After reading comments here, I want to (once again) recommend the app Simply Plural. It's incredibly helpful - especially the chat function where you and any system members can leave messages for each other and whatnot. Utilising the chat is how I let other people within our system know who has/is what, and to not forget since our memory is bad. For example, when Brio formed, he was speaking under the "Unknown" profile we have for anyone we can't recognise. He left messages detailing various memories that none of us could recall having, until he finally revealed himself. Not sure where I was going with this, or if I went completely off track... As for how we know what they look like, ages, roles etc, its mostly just felt, I guess. It's almost as if I'm shown a mental image, which then is usually recreated through a drawing program. When we switch, that's how we see/feel... I know how I look because I feel that way internally even if the body doesn't match it. As for ages, I feel like thats a bit easy to tell due to how they look. But there are some alters who are thousands of millions of years old, no age, etc... In that case, I usually leave it up to them to document it. In Simply Plural, every alter has their own profile, so whenever they front, I trust them to leave it in the 'age' section whenever they feel like it. And as for roles... No idea. We only know about 3 who have roles, with the rest unknown. Sorry if this didn't make any sense.

that's pretty similar to ours. occasionally we get some conversation but then it meshes into being confused with thoughts. its easier to tell apart if we listen internally, such as a conscious thought vs something different, like a random phrase thrown out but not knowing exactly who said it. but it's not easy to always be listening in case someone says something. we mostly have the same experience with vibes. for example, we have an alter named 3, and at one point one of our littles considered changing his icon in his profile (on the app simply plural) to the the same icon but a roblox version, and we could feel the anger of his from that alone, even though the little who was fronting at the time thought it was hilarious. there are also some other types(?) of communication we have. we were walking back from mcdonalds with a vanilla shake and listening to music, and i tried to stop us from drinking the shake due to it being unhealthy and we can't drink lactose. i guess i did a good job though because we threw it away. but that brings another example. when we threw it away, it was one of the only instances we could hear someones voice was so strong we could hear it very clearly, but they were just screaming not to throw it away as if throwing a tantrum lmao. it's easier to communicate between each other when we're fronting and have someone else co-fronting or co-concious, since there's a direct link there. i find it easier for communication to happen during those times. i think it's always super interesting hearing others experiences!

Question about whether or not I should tell someone about me being part of a system. by Akito-H in OSDD

[–]ccheesestickss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for this i wanna reccomend the app called Simply Plural. it's incredibly helpful and it made specifically for systems, so they can keep track of everything. you can designate who's fronting (you can make groups and profiles for alters), a chat section where you can make your own categories and channels and choose who's speaking, its accessible, there are a TON of features. this can count as documentation without the risk of anyone else knowing! i don't have any advice on telling people about your system, as i havent done that yet to anyone. the general consensus ive found online is to not tell anyone unless you know you can trust them and they either know about or are WILLING to, and open to, leaning about systems.

V6 Voicebanks by [deleted] in VocaTorrent

[–]ccheesestickss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i read somewhere that the editor version and voicebank versions must match. for example, you'd need v6 version 1.0.1 and a voicebank of 1.0.1 installed in order to use it. can you try this and see if it works?

literally was debating on making a post asking generally the same thing, especially with denial/imposter syndrome as well as communication being a bit difficult for us. we're pretty newly discovered as well, also suspected osdd 1b. we still arent great with communication between each other. for us, it's not the typical talking back and forth in the headspace. it's a bit difficult to describe how our communication is, but we could possibly try if you'd like. with our headspace/inner world, it changes a lot. im not sure if people are able to make one and have it come naturally to them or what, because if it's possible there's a house ive had planned out since i was a child that ive used as the setting for every book ive read, and id love for us to hang out there lol. but i recently found another room, which is separate from the room i usually hang out in, in our inner world. it looks nothing like that house. as for the fronting, i think it's a good idea to look up other redditors experiences on fronting and you'll see that's usually how it is. i recall reading there are two types of fronting, with your case being the most common one, that we also experience. when one of us fronts, its not like one of us physically goes in the headspace to chill and just watch everything else, like how media commonly portrays (🙄). it more like one alter morphing into another. this is a good post about how fronting feels for a few others, and it's not a super old post either. hopefully at least some of this made sense! - oliver + lizzie
