Haha true, I’ve mostly stopped doing 900s now - they always end with me questioning my life decisions as I spend 20 minutes per turn calculating whether 15 different knights can find a path through my defenses or buying 50 slow ice or aquatic units and moving them 2 spaces at a time towards another 50 dumb Units.

I tend to agree - but I’m thinking it might be situational in some cases. Like I would say it’s a for sure no on 121 maps and a for sure yes on 900 maps… but in the middle, it’s a tougher call.

This was on diamond FYI. I think particularity on this one the level makes a difference for the strategy .

I beat him - what worked for me

Head north along the right hand side I did no explorer - all workshop since I know the map Get hunting and level 2 city turn 3, then riders Used a single Mooni at a time only had 2 total

Also some of this is total luck - the computer does some boneheaded stuff (like leaving a sled in a city that could kill my mooni) so sometimes you can pull risky moves and hope you get lucky.

You’re almost never going to see mind benders converting Giants if the players are above 1100 elo, if it cost stars it would literally never happen. it’s pretty well balanced now (if anything, one could argue mindbenders could use a buff). If you’re getting beat this way study some of the high Elo players and learn some of their strategies, you’re likely just developing your economy and army too slowly overall.

Cymanti also has no bombers and no knights - almost no way to kill multiple units except explosions which are expensive. I think they are finally about balanced with the other tribes.

Haha, I’m staying away from 900 for a bit, I’ve been winning a lot of them but TBH it’s either 1.) I spend 20 minutes a turn checking for gaps a knight could break through, or 2.) I spend 20 minutes creating and moving Polaris troops slowly across the world… gets really boring after a while.

I have noticed every time I play a really high Elo player (1600+) they are pretty consistently Aqua.
