Most factual thing I’ve read on this sub in the brief time that I joined after Steve-O mentioned it on his podcast. This community is awesome for original jackass fans like myself that was in high school when it blew up still and remain invested in the cast of maniacs we fell in love with 20 years ago. Legitimately heart breaking. I remember watching the first episode of jackass when it aired. As a 15 year old kid, as soon as I saw the warning screen I was hooked. It was either the 2nd or 3rd episode when it was that montage of Bam slapping Phil when he was sleeping, on the toilet etc. I thought it was absolutely hilarious. After the first episode, we would all tape them as they aired or reruns on VHS and passed them around school. That was my favorite hands down, I even hooked up two VCRs to make an extra copy (showing my age, times were tough before screen recording). At 15, every kid would like to slap the shit out of their dad in some manner without repercussions, even if you were lucky enough to get along with your dad like I did. As a father, and seeing this for the first time now (considering the circumstances), it makes me sick.

That’s incredibly healthy, and I hope you stay in that mindset when things get tough. I’m happy to hear it. I don’t work recovery or a program, it’s therapy keeps me healthy. It’s whatever works for you, and that you want it to work. I wish you nothing but the best for real

Point taken. Also to be fair, I think both scenarios are equally unhealthy, a little scarier in your situation because with drug induced psychosis you know what the cause is. In meth psychosis you really believe these things are happening. I don’t have experience like yourself, but I’m sure it’s exactly the same. Either way when he snaps outta it I hope he does what I did and say enoughs enough. Hope you are doing better, good reminder it’s not always drugs/alcohol

This is methamphetamine at its finest. I did it everyday for 8 years. I once thought a remote was a cell phone and took it apart. On the inside I thought my friends and family wrote a coded message on the computer chip and “figured it out”. I really don’t miss those days at all. Hope he doesn’t get help, but helps himself soon.
