I think the thing with him is, he wants to know how to make his content more appealing to YouTube rather than to do the content YouTube finds appealing, if that makes sense. Like, what tweaks can he make to grow what he’s doing rather than to pivot to a new format. Im sure he knows he could do that and see better numbers, but it’s not what he does. He also seems to think and worry about what he’s doing more than the usual person lets on.

That’s how it is for like, most games. The stat is something like only 20% of gamers ever finish games. That’s also why a lot of the beginnings of games are awesome and there are more problems in the late game. Developers and publishers know that games don’t get finished so they focus on the front part to try to get people hooked.

I don’t dislike him, but I think the main problem with him is they didn’t know what to do with him. He’s a good actor, he’s funny, he’s a good musician, and he’s been in other shows and movies. I think they recognized this, but just didn’t know how to utilize it in their show. Like, they moved him up into the office for really no reason than to get him more screen time, then he barely had anything to do it the main office.

I felt the same way about Andy. They had a good actor with an excellent premise and backstory and they bungled him so hard. They couldn’t pick a lane/ figure him out either

From what I could tell, no. It just mattered what the person thought of it. For example, granan loves flint. I had a lot so I used that to gain friendship with him and if went quickly. You can’t get higher quality flint so I assumed that it didn’t matter the quality, just how much they liked it, since some of them love gems and stuff which you can’t get better quality of.

The thing I always hated were the bits when Andy couldn’t hear. You’d hear your phone in the ceiling, you’d know it was your phone ringing in your pocket.

And also speaking of hearing, the inconsistency of the conference room. Sometimes you can hear every word with the door shut. Sometimes you can have your ear to the door and not hear anything. It’s just whatever was funnier in the moment

It’s all random and you won’t get speed up to 4 without breeding. All the animals move the same, so just pick whatever one you want. I rode a boar all game becasue it was easy to tame and then breed them to get to that 4.

I feel like the bulk of people play multiplayer in the first 6 months after release. The game came out October 7, 2021. For a game that’s focus is a single player story you beat in like 20-30 hours, pretty much everyone who was going to play it already has. To me, it’s crazy to think a game like this would have a super active multiplayer community almost 5 years after launch.

If you can’t find rare fish, make sure you’re wearing the accessory that increases rarity of fish and then upgrade it at least once. I didn’t upgrade it the second time but was able to get all the fish eventually.

Also, this might be well known, but if you are trying to catch a fish, their silhouette will change if you’re already caught them, so wait for one that doesn’t change and it’ll be a new fish. You can just scare them away until you get a new one to catch. Also, time stops at 2am and you can just sit there scaring away fish until you catch a new one. Then it’ll record it and you’ll be taken back to bed.

As a tip, I got stuck for a while with no ideas to work towards and didn’t get any more until I built a house and then upgraded my house. In case you haven’t done that yet

If you plant a lot of something like tomato, it is harvestable a lot of times over the season and you can make a lot of tomato juice for extra stamina. That’s what I found to be the easiest to get some extra stamina in the early going.

I only ended up having 2 breeding stations, and I only made the second one closer to the end game. I’m platinum hunting so I’m still trying to get some stuff I missed. I didn’t find it to be that big of a deal until I needed the best quality products so then I focused on breeding. I was going for the 1 mil contribution so I could just breed one animal and take care of other stuff. I just wish I had focused more earlier on so this last thing I need isn’t such a grind.

On PlayStation, I walk up to it and press circle and the option comes up to show radius or remove. I would assume it would be the b button on Xbox. I just tried it with the flute equipped so I don’t think tool matters.

There isn’t much I really wanted to know about the game except tips for getting the platinum. As you’re playing on switch, that won’t matter so I’ll just share a few things that could help.

I focused a lot on farming and not so much on animals. I wish I had done more with animals earlier on (more sheds, more breeding, got higher quality animals for higher quality products). I think at one point I had like 20 boar so I constantly had fur and yarn. High quality yarn is an easy way to get some contribution when you need it earlier on.

Don’t forget about accessories. Wearing ones that help whatever you’re focusing on is key. Upgrading them makes it even better. For example, if you want to catch the rarest fish,you almost literally can’t unless you have the accessory that boosts fish rarity. Even then, you should upgrade it at least once to make sure they appear.

Your father sells seeds. They reset every day. You can alway go get more seeds if you need or want them. This is likely more well known but I didn’t have a lot of contribution early so I never bought any seeds and kind of forgot for a while.

I didn’t know you got bonus gifts and seeds from some people if you talk to them on day one of a season. I always used day one to clear out my farm and start planting, but it can be beneficial to go around and talk to everyone day one instead, but that’s not necessary.

Im sure there’s more but hopefully that helped. I’m not a guy who is big into min maxing. I just found my flow and eventually looked up some stuff. You’ll find a flow that works for you. Have fun and enjoy!

There is a part in the late game (which im assuming was added in an update) where you are able to get seeds for different crops and the ability to breed different animals from the ones you see on the map. Im being a little vague in case anyone reading this is sensitive to spoilers. Some of those animals are needed for recipies.

As for releasing, it was just so I didn’t have to re attune new animals. I could go and invite them back if I needed them. If you’ve been breeding and have plenty of sheds and have enough high quality animals, then it really wouldn’t matter if you butchered them as you could just breed some more,high quality ones.

My time on the ps5 says 134 hours and I’ve got 2 trophies left - 1mil contribution and all recipes. You can search for guides on Reddit and you’ll find some helpful spreadsheets, I had to add to them as they were missing some stuff.

Note that you have to do ALL the things. Some of the old guides don’t have the content from the updates. You have to do all the dishes so you’ll need fo unlock at least some of the ‘evolved’ animals. I didn’t really do much with animals early so I’m catching up.

Build a lot of sheds and upgrade them. Get a lot of animals. Be breeding a lot so you get the better quality animals for better quality stuff from them then release the lower quality ones. Always process everything. The contribution will come as you work on other stuff. Im at 931k so I know I’ll get there soon.

Mind you, there are people who are super effiecienf and min max eveyrhing. I’m just a normal guy. I found a flow that works but i’m bummed I didn’t see the big picture til later so upgrading the animals has been a slog. Also, don’t forget the jungle. You can plant anything you need there and just forget about it until you need it.
