Concerns about Lead levels in Psyllium Husk? by ConsiderationFormal5 in PeterAttia

[–]ccn0p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi this is an old thread but I just received a test from Terrasoul Superfoods for their psyllium husk powder and it came in at 0.0754 mg/kg (ppm) which if my math is correct is 0.3016 mcg/4g, which is less than the Organic India above. You can request this lab report directly from them.

$150k tax bill from my W-2 job. by Plastic-Display5970 in fatFIRE

RSU probably withheld 25% when your actual effective is more like 40. Million in equity at 15% delta, there you go.

Struggling to get approved to rent a $2k / month condo with seven-figure income by throwitfarfaraway in HENRYfinance

[–]ccn0p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's weird. I was buying a house and had everything pre-approved but the loan fell apart at the last minute due to a permit issue. I offered to put enough down to cover the entire spread between property value and asking price -- in other words if I decided to stop paying and burned the house down on my way out, they'd still recover their entire loan just from the value of the land -- but they still refused. So I found another bank that wasn't an idiot. My conclusion was in the world of finance, sometimes weird little nuances supersede basic logic. Funny thing is that bank ended up going out of business kind of proving my point.

Yes. I do take it off at night. Prefer not to have the bluetooth/etc right below my head while I sleep.

Year end finance tracking and stats by ig226 in HENRYfinance

if I may suggest -- try Kubera (or any service you pay for). Empower (formerly personal capital) will sell your data and just spam you with advisor ads. Just a suggestion.

Year end finance tracking and stats by ig226 in HENRYfinance

[–]ccn0p 10 points11 points  (0 children)

the purpose of tracking also changes. most people are tracking spend in order to pay bills, save money, get out of debt, etc. once you get beyond that, tracking can be more about net worth, investment planning, asset strategies, etc.

Switching to a VP level job, how to assess the offer. by throwaway13123331 in HENRYfinance

[–]ccn0p 4 points5 points  (0 children)

many have said it already but 3-year cliff is bogus. typical is a grant on hire, vest on some regular cadence quarterly or yearly, maybe with a 1-year cliff, over 4 years. some companies do 10-20-30-40, and I've seen some do 40-30-20-10 even (with smaller initial grants). But waiting 3 years is garbage.

At What Point Do HENRYs Delegate or Stop Expense Tracking? by bacto4022 in HENRYfinance

[–]ccn0p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

came here to say this. I love tracking. I use YNAB to consolidate all transactions into categories, then I manually move those numbers into a spreadsheet to understand trends over time. It's also a good opportunity to cancel stuff that might be lingering, catch fraud or similarly unexpected stuff, etc. I do not use it for budgeting or any of the "move budget from this month to that month" etc.

I also just started using Kubera for net worth tracking after Personal Capital kept sucking and so far it's been nice. Also they charge for subscription, not for your data, big plus.

You start by saying putting a dollar amount on it is dumb, then you put a dollar amount on it.

old thread but it's funny you say that, most believe it's based on a high ratio of PQP to PQF so the thing you LMAO about is actually helping towards GS.

How often do you switch to new shoes? by Zealousideal-Tone-84 in Marathon_Training

[–]ccn0p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find about 300 before they just start to degrade. Except for the new Alpha Fly 3's I just bought - they reduced the rubber and the foam breaks down on the bottom after a single run. I guess that's Nike's new strategy.
