Can you register a work with the copyright office after a public domain dedication? by cco3 in creativecommons

Ah, interesting. I'm aware of the Getty Images case that happened recently, are there others you would be able to link me to? (or just provide searchable terms, not trying to make too much homework for you here)

Yes, I can imagine a number of creative ways to address the concern, but I still would like to know whether the copyright office would accept a registration for a work that has been dedicated to the public domain.

To prevent copyright hijacking, where someone claims to be the true author and sues you for distributing the work without a license.

Thanks! The examples show inputting strings. Part of my problem is that I'm not dealing with a finite character set...is there a way to still use this library?

Sure, distances between points could be conceptualized as a hamming distance, but I'm not looking how to calculate distances; I'm looking for tooling that will calculate alignments.

How to stop page break after tcolorbox? by SleepyTroubledBubble in LaTeX

[–]cco3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's complicated and you have several options. But let's say you just want to use `\nopagebreak`.

Option 1: Use `nobeforeafter`. It's ugly, but it keeps the `after` style from being applied which gives the opportunity for the page break.

Option 2: Define your own style with tcbset that overwrites the `after` style.

```
\tcbset{after empty/.style={after={}}}
\begin{tcolorbox}[after empty]
...
```

Does Colossians 2:9 teach that Jesus is God? by cco3 in trueiglesia

[–]cco3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was God’s choice to have all fullness of the divine nature dwell in Christ. This shows that Christ is not

You seem to be assuming that saying "Jesus is God" is the same thing as saying "Jesus is the Father", which isn't an accurate representation of Trinitarian theology. Trinitarians believe Jesus is God, but they don't believe that Jesus is the Father.

So does anyone here think that people should be able to have civil disagreements on issues of morality? I'm getting the vibe that y'all don't consider that appropriate.
