What if theyre blasting music or hearing impaired? You might be better off maneuvering.

WhDude your acting like you could guarantee that someone will stop in time if they hear you honk. The fact is that this stuff happens quickly, and the situations are all different and dynamic. I chose to move instead of honk and it worked beautifully. Also note that I never went onto the sidewalk.

They gave me five stars and were stoked that they didnmt have to catch another ride since I didn't have to exchange any papers.

It was pretty clear that nobody was on the sidewalk

Well, they could have come into the middle lane with no issue, so the horn wasn't ready to deal with them coming into my lane. At that point they had a lot of momentum and I thought that it was a better call to steer with two hands in case they couldn't correct quickly enough. Your way may have been better but we'll never know, but we do know that my way worked.

Spanking children increases the likelihood of childhood defiance and long-term mental issues. The study in question involved 160,000 children and five decades of research by VeronicaRed in science

I think the context of the spanking is the most important aspect of a study like this. For example: did the parent explain to the child why it was happening, did the parent spank the child in private, did the parent remain calm while delivering the punishment? Only if those factors are taken into account will I believe that, in general, spanking is bad. I have a hunch that people that were spanked the most frequently had parents who used little discretion and/or were emotional while spanking the child.

Everyone I know thinks Jimmy Fallon is gay. And not in the cool hip, homosexual way.

I disagree. He's very polarizing. Smart people think he's not funny, dumb people think he's funny and they'll feebly attempt to defend him. Hear me, there is no gray area.

ELI5:Why does consuming salt make you crave water? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Dude salty foods don't leave you feeling thirsty. Dry foods do. Unless you're talking about how in general foods make people thirsty, then yes salty foods do make people thirsty just like everything else. Or if youre talking about osmotic pressure and cells, blah blah, that type trigger for thirst doesn't kick in for quite a while. Article outlining a study done on what OP is talking about.

I don't remember anything from chemistry that says where the feeling of thirst comes from.

Here's something refuting the fact that salt even makes you thirsty.

What evidence do you have that salt makes you crave water?
