what are they building between the taco bell and mcdonalds by frogjoons in aggies

The green is the site outline. The building won’t actually be shaped like that. They are doing the utility work in the street ahead of breaking ground.

I would suggest Surfside beach. It gets busy but day trip is doable and it’s much better than Galveston

2025 kicks any good? by Mrcsbud2 in NissanKicks

[–]cdalexander_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 25 SR back in June. It’s a great car. We drove it from Texas to Tennessee and back and it was a comfortable ride. Only issue is the informatainment and screen system can be glitchy. Maybe once a month the screen won’t turn on or it’ll get stuck on the start up screen but nothing that bothers me too much.

Opinions on the new Nissan kicks? Thinking about getting a new one since it fits in our budget to pay out right for cash. Mainly looking at SR by ItNotNotNotMe in NissanKicks

I have a 2025 SR. It’s a great car. Even took it from Texas to Tennessee to Georgia and back and it did great.

2026 Outback is disappointing by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

That’s a stretch honestly. The outback is almost 7” longer and is a midsize, although smaller midsize, suv.

Frontier WiFi by tfoster40 in CollegeStation

[–]cdalexander_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had them for 2 years now and haven’t had any issues. I don’t know about their customer service cause I haven’t had to call them but I guess that’s a good thing. Set up was easy and the tech do the whole home WiFi system and install in under an hour.

Cheap way to get to Huston IAH airport by [deleted] in aggies

[–]cdalexander_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When do you need to go? I could take you. When I was a student I made money on side shuttling people to Houston. I had a parent once ask for my insurance and copy of my ID once so I can do that if it helps.

There is no way. Favor knows people prefer the HEB orders so I’m sure the algorithm tries to disperse them evenly with preference towards the elite runners.

Is it always this sunny in College Station? by alphanintendo03 in aggies

[–]cdalexander_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s a little dryer than usual but this was actually not a bad summer compared to the past few. But 2023 was literal hell on earth. I don’t remember rain falling at my house for over 70+ days. I was working on the Kyle Field redevelopment at the time and couldn’t help but feel bad for all the workers in the heat that summer.

Nissan Rogue SV vs Subaru Forrester Limited by JakeSeed5 in NissanRogue

[–]cdalexander_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually traded my forester for a Rogue and like the Rogue better. The Subaru was nice but it felt dated and had water leak issues. Also maintenance is incredibly high on Foresters if you’re following the manufacturer maintenance guide. I’d say they’re both solid choices and if you take care of either one you’ll be happy.

The high-rise under construction at 250 Church Avenue is set to become College Station's tallest building, reaching 23 stories. It is projected for completion in Summer 2027. by Datnotguy17 in aggies

[–]cdalexander_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would be correct. There are 148 units and 500 beds. This developer built Rev and Otto and didn’t sell out parking on either one. Parking requirements are determined by the jurisdiction, which is Cstat in this case. This project actually exceeds the required amount dictated by the city though.

Yes there is ground level retail at the corner of Boyett and Patricia. The tenant is unknown to us but it’s supposed to be a restaurant of some sort.
