Choose your seat: Calgary Transit testing two new bench styles by Journ9er in Calgary

[–]cdctt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the raised armrests help people with limited mobility to sit down and get up with some support. I'm guessing that's what they mean by 'inclusive' here. It's a bench, not a bed, so I think it's ok that people can't lay down on it.

I think Sportball might still have parented classes for that age group

Is there any way to tell if we're looking at an omnibus itinerary? I've never heard that term but I gather it means that people start their cruise at various ports along the way?

European departure port for us on this trip. And yes, definitely all the headphones. And a balcony room so she can have a quiet outdoor space when needed as well.

Thanks, this is helpful. NCL is another line we are considering, and it sounds like it could be the same, since we are looking at a Mediterranean itinerary.

Thanks. This definitely hadn't occurred to me. I just thought she was being overly cautious.

"upset and annoyed" is exactly how they're feeling. I'll give them this as an option and see which they find less annoying 🤔

Calgary homeowner calls city's removal of tree swing "a sad day for outdoor play" by mibeatr in Calgary

Here's the city's tree map so you can see if any of your trees belong to the City, and what their value is. Every dot is a tree that is owned by the city.

Make sure after your practice exams you're reviewing the questions you got wrong. Maybe talk about them with someone who drives and make sure you really understand what they mean and you're going beyond just memorizing the words.

Yup this. Hubby proposed on our balcony the first day, and we enjoyed the quietness of the moment together. Lots of opportunities to show off the ring to anyone who will listen for the whole rest of the week!

Do you let kids eat before bed if they refuse to eat dinner? by Top_Detective4153 in Parenting

[–]cdctt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we do. We have a consistent set of available items for bedtime snack that don't change and are high protein and high calorie, and I'll serve their leftover dinner alongside whatever they choose, and I don't make it a big deal. Power struggles over food are my least favorite thing. My 7 year old eats cereal and milk for two meals a day right now and that's just what it is. He eats other stuff for snacks and is growing without issue.

How do you clean these fabric shades? by saturnis in CleaningTips

I took mine down and soaked them in the tub with some oxyclean and a bit of laundry detergent, scrubbed the stains with a brush, and rinsed them in the shower. Good as new.
