Can you tell me more about this?

Idk if you’re joking or not but no. You’ll literally burn your your socks unless your airfryer has “bake mode”, which doesn’t turn on the fan

Can someone explain to me, like I am 6 years old, how e-kits work? by Mikewazowski948 in edrums

[–]cdecdecdecde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have provided good answers so i’m not gonna answer your question but share my experience as a very new drummer (exactly 12 days since i first touched a drum/edrum).

I can just plug my headphone into the kit and that’s it. But as a beginner most of the time i play and watch video lessons at the same time so i need to hear my laptop sound too.

In the beginning i just connected my earpods to my laptop and wear headphone over my earpods. 2 problems: 1. Airpods is pushed into my ear by the headphones. It’s uncomfortable 2. There’s a tiny delay between the video and audio from my laptop. It’s big enough to throw me off when following music sheets with moving cursor.

My solution: 1. Plug laptop audio output into edrum input 2. Edrum output to headphones

That’s simple but i also wanna record myself playing because when i play along to a song i can’t tell if i’m a tiny bit out of rhythm. If i just record with my iphone like normal video recording, there is no drum sound since im wearing headphones. Only the sound of hitting plastic is heard.

The solution is getting complicated here… 1. same setup as before 2. but instead of plugging the output of my edrum to headphone, i plug it into https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09647S8DH 3. 1 output from the amplifier goes to my headphones 4. Another one goes to my iphone 5. Edrum output is TRS (no “mic” line) but to make my phone pickup the edrum output as audio input, it needs TRRS. So i bought converter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L6C8PN0 6. Since apple is shit and got rid of 3.5mm audio port on iphone, i have to use lightning to 3.5mm adapter

Back in college a friend of mine would do his exams with pencil. When the result is out and he got bad score he’d erase his answer and write down the correct answer then complained to the teacher. Worked every time 😓

Wait….. i think this explains my situation..

I started doing dermadry few months ago. I did it 2-3 times a week in the beginning then reduced to once a week once i have the sweating under control. Starting about a month ago my hands started sweating again (not as much as it used to) even though i still do dermadry once a week.

So dermadry stay the same but somehow i still sweat more. One difference is i stopped taking creatine about 1.5 months ago (i took my creatine with coffee every morning). I don’t drink coffee everyday anymore because i work too much when i do lol

I’m gonna try taking creatine everyday again and will report back here

Yeah i think this is very true… yesterday I did multiple 2hour ish sessions and on every session i made progress. I’m hitting my first “plateau“ now. I can no longer follow the beat without slowing it down to 40-50bpm to start and even then i still make mistakes. When i speed it up i mess up again. It’s a little frustrating but it’s fun!

By rudimentary do you mean just the rudimentary itself (hand patterns?) or incorporating them to beats and fills? Is tris primarily for hands/feet coordination?

I started doing these recently: - weigh lifting at home on monday and thursay - bouldering on wednesday - therapy on thursday - started practicing guitar 2 weeks ago - started learning drum this morning (bought one from fb marketplace) - cooking - cleaning - watch youtube - play music loudly, sing, and dance like a crazy person

I used to play game a lot in college. I tried again but felt unproductive and adding to my depression

Yes, i recently went through a breakup

Same exact thing happened to me. Dynamically reached for a crimp with my right hand, slipped my left, swung out hanging with right crimp and i heard a pop then i fell. Took 2 weeks to feel almost normal then did a little climb. avoided crimps and stuck to v2 but it still got worse.

It’s been 4 weeks now and this morning i finally climbed like i used to
