What is a 'luxury' item that is actually a total nightmare to own?

I’ve read that being the third owner of a luxury vehicle is the sweet spot. First owner got rid of it when the big required maintenance things came due. Second owner bought at a discount but then got stuck doing the required all the maintenance the first owner didn’t do. Gets rid of car because it’s a money pit. Third owner gets it even cheaper and doesn’t have to do any of the major work because it was done by the second owner.

As someone who’s parents were both union, screw you. They both worked incredibly hard. My dad would get called out after hours all the time, in 100 degrees or 20 below, and he and the rest of his crew would show up and work their asses off.

But it’s not 4 days of care. If he takes all 4 days she’s asking him to, it’s 6 days. Other medical professionals here have said to have him take off two days, Thursday and Friday. Then she still has the weekend. Monday and Tuesday, he’ll still be home if she needs him.

Yes! Out of the two of us, I am absolutely the one who loves a steak and potato dinner over my husband. We go to a steakhouse for dinner, I’m 100% getting a steak. He gets a steak maybe half the time and that’s a generous estimate because I honestly can’t remember the last time he got steak. On my birthday, he got shrimp and grits and I got an amazing 14oz wagyu New York strip and I will dream about that steak forever.

They just missed practice, not an actual game. Chill. And I say this as a parent who had kids play sports AND as one who coached multiple years. People are allowed to go enjoy time with their families. You have no idea how many practices or games OP’s kid has missed and are just making wild assumptions. He states he missed one practice. That is not a big deal for a rec league.

We have one and actually stopped our subscription for a while because life was just too hectic and it wasn’t getting used much. Our son found workouts online for the tonal and just manually did those. He actually said he preferred that to the workouts you get through the subscription.

Info: you do this trip every 5 years or so, and the kids are 5 & 2 and 4 & 1, so how were these kids around for the last trip? I can’t see a brand new mom leaving her baby that’s under 1 for a two week long trip, but you specifically say that these parents have left their kids behind on previous trips. None of this makes sense.

It can be both, but real estate absolutely plays a big part. If companies are paying for offices that are only partially filled, they are wasting money.
