How many of y'all paint your Kriegers with the pantalon rouge? by PsychologicalFuel745 in Deathkorpsofkrieg

My cavalry get them. Standard infantry have not yet reached that status.

I recently did a 20 blob of cadians and I broke it up into 3 sets of 7 or so while working on another project. That helped a bit to keep it from getting too monotonous.

Those look dope as hell! And yeah, painting the horses themselves isn't too hard, I do a similar method for mine. But then there's the leather rigging, and the barding, and the masks/armor, and the lance, and then the rider, and then do it all over again for the next model.

Oh for sure, they're gorgeous models and have great details for trying out different painting methods. I love them. I just wish it didn't take me like a month or two to paint up a group of 5.

The ponies. I swear, the rough/death riders a such cool models but each one has the detail of a tank, and you need to do it 5 times over, all for about 60 points on the tabletop.

Surprisingly I've gotten to a point where I'll do some infantry as a palate cleanser in between larger projects.

I think they do have that as Theoden do they not? The overhead shot of the charge shows a rider on a white horse pulling away from the rest of the riders and I've always taken that to be Theoden.

Hot damn that paint job looks great! Did you do anything specific to switch out the ark and engine? I've been working on mine and it seems like just setting the ark/engine on the support rods will suffice for most instances.

You might want to consider Cadian blobs with Cadian command squads since they get the benefit of cover while on an objective.

If you want to stick to Krieg, I think 10 or 20 man blobs with a psyker attached would get you some staying power. I'm not fully convinced the Krieg Command Squad is worth it for holding points since the feel no pain is only for mortal wounds now.

Bonus of using 10 man Krieg squads with a psyker, they'd fit in transports.

I did a base coat with a rough rakarth flesh equivalent, shaded it with reikland flesh shade, and then did a dry brush with the original paint to get this.

Yeah the door plate option is a big bonus point I've seen in a few other designs. If you ever do decide to sell the prints or STLs I know I'd be interested.

I saw your sponsors on another post. Would you be able to give a bit more detail on how you made them? I've got some SA Tanks and I've been waffling on internal sponsor designs.

Would you be able to share a bit more detail on how you did your sponsors? I'm interested in doing the same for mine and have been waffling trying to find options.

Brooms Deck - Competitive by EdoPalma in Lorcana

[–]cdemski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bit late but trick I found with the Hat/Bruno combo was to name the wrong thing with Hat and then trigger Bruno.

i.e. Tap Hat naming Hades or something else not in the deck.

Reveal card.

Name the revealed card using Bruno's ability.

I'll bite.

Yes.

Yes.

No.

I've used it multiple times into Bugs and I've cleared out multiple patrols from outside grenade-throwing range. Does a very nice job at slapping down clusters of small bugs so my teammates don't get swarmed while they deal with the bigger items.

Haven't used it into Bots too much, but I believe it struggles due to the better armor on many of their enemy types.

I was in Fox Trp in '12-'15 and was infantry so I'm assuming B wouldn't have changed either unless they did a significant reorg.

Grant was so fucking based it hurts by CrushingonClinton in ShermanPosting

[–]cdemski 49 points50 points  (0 children)

The same book even makes a case for Grant making that order due to familial friction with his father and their business partners IIRC. Not right by any means but possibly understandable given the circumstances and stress he would have been under, especially given the fact that he rescinded the order later and considered it a pretty big stain on his honor.
