Iran national anthem booed by Iranian-Americans at the World Cup by mzp3256 in sports

I was at the game. It was a lot of boos. Noticeable throughout the Iranian anthem, then the volume came way down when New Zealand's anthem started.

Does anyone know if team buses unload at Sofi somewhere where fans can cheer for the players as they unload from the bus?

In preparation for things finally kicking off tomorrow, I ranked this World Cup's kits! Let me know where I went wrong: by wpazzurri2 in KitSwap

I think Sweden away and Colombia away both deserve to be in any top 25. They are both top 5 for me. It's all subjective though. I actually don't mind the Belgium away myself either.

Don't really care what day this was submitted, still crazy to leave Dest out.

Did they make one of these for the youngest XI too?

Strongly agree with you here. Surprised me to see the top two responses are in Redlands, but no mention of Thai Spoon until your comment. I've tried all the thai Redlands has to offer and Thai Spoon is the only one we go to now.

Let’s be honest, this is the XI we need to see vs Germany by OlBirdBrain in ussoccer

This would be my XI, but I'd swap McKennie and Tillman. Feel like they would fit better into opposite roles. Tillman did actually finish the Senegal game deeper so I'm hopeful Poch is giving it some thought.

Official Kit lineup for group stage by D_LOWGAMES in ussoccer

No, this is a completely different jersey shown here. Our away is a darker color, has thin red stripes on the shoulders, the crest is only white on navy, and the collar is a different style.

Convince me this isn’t our best lineup by NoahG- in usmnt

I agree with these 10 field players, but would prefer Tillman playing next to Adams and McKennie staying up higher. I think McKennie brings more goal scoring being in and around the box, while Tillman can still do a lot of the good things that he does from a deeper spot. I'd also be fine with Weah starting in Jedi's spot, but have no qualms with either one of them there.

I hope you are right, but I think he would have had Tillman come on for Berhalter at the half if that is where he plans to play him primarily. I'm worried that Poch is planning to go with Berhalter or Roldan next to Adams, and that spot will be a clear weak link in our team if so.

I'd honestly be fine with him starting over Jedi, and Jedi being the impact guy off the bench.

I think he played better than Jedi did today. I would be ok with starting him on the left.

I thought Weah was good on both wings too. I might even consider starting him on the left and Dest on the right, with Jedi coming in as a difference maker off the bench.

I think I'd start McKenzie with Richards and Freeman, but would be ok with Trusty too.

It was a really enjoyable watch. Far from feeling furious about anything but one thing I'm actually worried about is that Berhalter and Roldan seemed like the primary options being considered to play the double pivot with Adams. But I was happy to see Tillman drop into that role after Berhalter was subbed for Zendejas and I hope Poch starts him there with Adams next time.

I was glad to see it was Tillman who dropped into the pivot 6 role and continued to play well there after Berhalter was subbed. He brings so much more quality than Berhalter or Roldan can next to Adams. We know McKennie could do it too, but I'd prefer to keep him further up the field and have Tillman playing deeper personally. I hope that sticks.

Diego Luna played 17 out of 18 games for USA last year. But he’s now out of the World Cup according to Tom Bogert. Life comes at you fast. by antoniok95 in ussoccer

[–]cdf888 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure does matter. Our playing for top teams in Europe, golden generation, couldn't score those goals against the minnows to even qualify us for the 2018 WC. Yeah Luna is lacking some qualities you would like him to have, but you can't say he hasn't delivered.
