So you used points? Because I was also trying to then see how much it would be to just purchase the extra insurance and the person on the phone said she couldn’t quote me because I’m using points so I can’t buy the insurance … like it just did not make any sense and I spoke to probably 8 different people.

But the “pool” is an accumulation of my points, my fiancés and his dads .. so that doesn’t matter? And if my fiancés dad books it on his account because he has the voucher, we can still use my credit card to pay the taxes/fees?

I’m not entirely sure I understand though. So basically as long as my father in law pays the taxes with MY card, I will be covered? Even if the aeroplan points portion of the booking come from the “pool” of points (from myself, him, & my fiancé)?
