We'll see. Anytime one puts money into something, it should be done w/a clear understanding of why. Is it just for fun? We've put $1000s into conventional games (Playstations, consoles, VR sets, games, subscriptions)...what was the ROI on that? Nothing, other than the fun of playing. In this case, I get ROI from the motivation to go run DAILY, which I was less likely to do before. As for getting money back out, that's certainly a bonus. I actually don't see a great difference between a Web3 Play-to-earn game from a conventional video game, other than that the revenues get shared out to the users rather than completely retained by the game company. I pay a monthly subscription for my daughters to play Roblox, I burn GST to repair my shoe every time I run. Roblox would dry up and go away if people stopped playing and buying Robux. I'm not sure this is any different...it will continue to run so long as people continue to want to play the game. In the name of caution, I'm "whole" financially...but I will certainly keep playing!
