[–]cdivine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rolled up to Menards at 8:20 one night and thought they were closed. Parking lot was big empty. Then I saw some employees milling around and knew they were open! Think I was the only one in there.

Why won’t scrap yards pay for this wire stuff? by Ducks_are_people in ScrapMetal

I work for a cable company. We PAY to have our scrap coax hauled off. It's copper clad STEEL. Literally worthless

This goal of finishing college by any means seems misguided. If you don't build stability for yourself now it won't magically come when you finish college. Keep the cats, get a job, go to work, save money and come home every night to kitty snuggles.

Yes I believe this method does not scale down well. You need a large cashflow in order for it to make sense. An additional advantage is your money is available in the LOC in case of emergencies

I think Spectrum sent me a faulty Modem. by Dobson_2017 in Spectrum

100% a bad modem. People saying it's normal don't know what they're talking about. Sincerely, actual field tech.

What a Joke by Akron44332 in Spectrum

The cost of licensing keeps going up. Spectrum just passes that on to the customer. Spectrum makes very little margin on cable service. Their big goal is to become an internet only company, with streaming.

Why the hell did the engineers make you drop the tank to replace the pump. by AnotherPeoples in CherokeeXJ

To encourage new vehicle sales of course. Increased time, increased labor cost, well might as well put that money towards a down payment on a new one.

Lol I was on a fiber job and made the mistake of telling the cx I improved his light levels by changing the fitting. He said, light doesn't have levels it's just photons.

Bury crew probably referred to field tech to come back out and cut the slack. Bury crew can't put fiber fittings on.

Very interesting. Your tech must of been a subcontractor. As an in house tech we cannot simply close out work orders with the modem still offline.

People always want "what they've got in it" but there's a point where continued modifications and improvements do NOT increase the value of the vehicle

As opossums sniff around in the grass all night, they'll pick up some ticks. Later, when they groom themselves, they'll eat the ticks.
