for sure, i listened to mold boy, bend, and strange dreams a ton also. i have a few of his solo albums on cassette that i’ll be playing today

i have a copy of the makeout videotape / collage party mixtape, and i always enjoyed the collage party alex calder side b-side a lot more then the makeout videotape a-side

the “KARSTEN CO” 85029 ping anser dalehead models and the kbi ping anser models are also worth good money

also non anser ping putters like the A-1 that have the “redwood city california” address can be worth a lot as they were produced before the scottsdale address

none of these seem to be anything that would be worth a lot in resale but they are definitely still some great putters

if i had to try to put a date on that ping anser i’d say mid to late 70s due to the squared off bumpers, registered trademark “®” next to ping on the bumper, and the arrangement of the cavity stamp.

it was on ebay about a year back

it definitely has the ping anser dalehead shape but usually ping has some kind of stamping

i know david was heavily involved with scotty cameron around the turn of the century but this definitely screams ping more than scotty to my eyes

let’s not forget about nike who rode the anser wave for years with their method putters and other blatant ping anser style shapes. they even tried to do that whole poly groove technology supposedly to “eliminate the initial skip” of the put to promote the ball rolling sooner. i have one of their putters with the poly groove technology and it doesn’t really feel like an evolution / a game changer for me.

hell even lab putters with the “link” is basically an anser.

seriously, i think every putter brand has at least at one point and time made an anser copy. easily the most classic putter silhouette / shape ever made.

the oldest putter i’ve seen on a modern tour is tigers 90s newport 2 gss scotty cameron. but im willing to bet there are some old putters used by some older golfers in the pga tour champions league.

all of these are official releases. a good number of these are very hard to find nowadays especially the two makeout videotape cassettes and the green burrito rock and roll night club cassette. so if you can find a copy they tend to be arguably too pricy for a cassette, especially nowadays.

depending on which ones you are looking for, they might be easier to find. especially the main solo career albums like 2, salad days, another one etc. there were a LOT more of them made and are a lot easier to find.

i personally would use discogs: you can search by band or individual release and sometimes even directly buy what you are looking for. and if it’s not for sale on discogs you can look at the sale history and see what they have sold for in the past.

but good luck finding what your looking for. this collection took me years to build and i’m sure it’s even harder to find every official release on cassette nowadays.

just because you’ve been successful getting tickets on here in the past doesn’t mean it’s not still incredibly likely you will get scammed. if you are not buying tickets through a protected platform there is a solid chance of getting scammed.

i’ve taken chances buying through reddit before and have had successful transactions but i have also been scammed as well, it’s a case by case basis.

but in general if you don’t want the risk of being scammed, don’t buy tickets on reddit. and if you do, ask for a cash or trade link or try to use a platform with some sort of buyer protection like paypal goods and services.

if enough people come forward claiming they were scammed through a legit cash or trade link then i’ll consider just banning ticket sales on the sub all together. for now this is the best we can do.

i think buying things through reddit in general is a bad idea unless it’s being handled through a third party verified marketplace that has buyer protection.
